Bush may have blown the chance to capture Osama ?
Edited on Mon Aug-09-04 09:34 PM by kentuck
It is now being reported that the Pakistanis are a little peeved at US for giving the names of the informers, especially the computer programmer, who were still actively involved in hunting down the alQaeda. Could it possibly have led ot Osama bin Laden? We won't know now because the Administration was too afraid of the political consequences if they withheld the information and something were then to happen. So they went with exposing and making public the information they had.

The people have a right to ask, "Where is Osama bin Laden?" It's been almost 3 years now and he is still on the loose. People might expect Bush to at least capture the one person that was responsible for 9/11 before he is defeated in November? Is that too much to ask? Where is Osama? We want him captured. Now.

1. Well he SAYS,
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority & we will not rest until we find him."
-George W. Bush, Sept. 13, 2001

"I don't know where he is. I have no idea & I really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
-George W. Bush, March 13, 2002

George is working very hard on it, see? Takes time. And he's not a flip-flopper.

2. Well, at least we got Saddam...we can't have everything...
Saddam had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11, didn't have WMDs, and wasn't a threat to us...but he was just more important to Dubya than hunting the real terrorists who killed more than 3000 Americans.

Bush doesn't give a shit about Osama or the people killed by al Qaeda. He wanted Iraq...

6. You wouldn't dare to suggest that we went to Iraq for their oil?

Oil Hits Record as Iraq Cuts Output

LONDON (Reuters) - Oil prices hit fresh record highs on Monday after a Shi'ite Muslim uprising forced Iraq (news - web sites) to shut down its southern oil production, reinforcing concern over tight international supplies.

<snip>

Oil has rallied more than 30 percent this year as rapid demand growth, especially in the United States and China, has left little leeway for any supply disruptions. Consumption is accelerating at its fastest pace in more than 20 years.

<snip>

Of course we didn't go to Iraq because of their oil. We went in there because of their WMDs and the immediate threat they posed to us. No wait, it was because they maybe at some time in the future might have the capabilities to build WMDs. Sorry, my bad, it was a purely humanitarian action, to free the Iraqi people from an evildoer... /sarcasm :eyes:

5. O"Reilly says we can't just go into Pakistan because of
pakistani sovereignty. My jaw just about hit the floor. We didn'g give a damn about any other country's sovereignty to get terrorists, but now Osama is beyond our reach? Did Bill know how stupid a lie he told?

7. He has no interest in this issue. OBL had little to do with the events of
9-11 and Bush doesn't want any risk of OBL speaking up. He's probably still playing poker with Cheney in Cheney's cave.
