Coworker Asks Me Today: "Do You Even Like ONE THING Bush Has Done?"
Edited on Mon Aug-09-04 04:11 PM by matcom
never been asked that before and i admit, i REALLY had to think. finally said, "Yes. Leave No Child Behind"

then, coworker (BTW, RW) said, "And He Didn't Even Fund That. Nope, I can't think of many things either. And I consider myself a 'Good Conservative'. "

:wow:

1. The federal No-Call List
And that, for the life of me, is the only good thing that's happened under this administration.

That's it - just the no-call list. ;)

It wasn't AWOL's bill it was from some congressman but give AWOL/ moron credit, he didn't veto it.

Probably was on vacation and didn't know what was required.

I don't have to read, I don't have to research. All I have to do is see where Bush stands on an issue and I know exactly where I should be.

37. Sure, lets go to mars. But not yet, not with chemical rockets.

Last year an ion engine was tested in a spacecraft on a mission to an asteroid. It was a huge success. It also carried an autonomous navigation system, and a self repair program. All three technologies were completely successful.

The great thing about the ion engine is that it supplies a low acceleration rate, but it gives that acceleration over a long time period, so the velocity keeps increasing. This as opposed to the chemical rocket which supplies high acceleration for a very short period.

Using an ion drive, the trip to mars would take just a few weeks, rather than six to nine months. This means much less in life support requirements, fuel, etc. Which means a much less expensive trip, both in terms of money and life span.

The ion drive will completely change the way we explore space. It's well worth waiting for.

You know, his insecurity and his ego need a fawning creature slobbering over him and thinking he's God no matter what he does. Cats are smarter than that... Please don't flame me; I like dogs, too. :hi:

16. Allowing off-roaders and snowmobilers have a say
My family went to Yellowstone this Winter and had a great time. The snowmachines we so much cleaner, quieter and more enjoyable than the smelly and steamed up snowcoaches. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking the snowmobiles ride anywhere other than the same asphalt roads the cars use in the summer.

We also have some new off-road trails here that are growing and many families enjoy taking a weekend off to explore many miles of the mountains. We are a proud family of Democrats and hope Kerry will not cater to those that would shut down this wholesome activity.

That about covers it except for the lack of nonsense fanatic gun laws.
