Throw some good Karma my way tonightand tomorow....
I have been very actively involved in a campaign for the Democratic primary for the U.S. House of Reps seat to replace Gephardt in Missouri. The past few weeks my time on DU has been sparse as I have been in the field canvassing.

I just got in from the last night of canvassing and calls, then getting ready for the polls. Right now I have that serious deep bone tired that you get from fighting as hard as you can for something and I'm heading to bed so I can be bright-eyed at the polls when they open.

We can use akll the Kharmic help possible in this one. Would you guys think some good thoughts for Jeff Smith in the Missouri 3rd Congressional District race tomorrow and maybe we will elect a true progressive to Congress.

6. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for Jeff
We really do need people in congress who will not be so eager to play the bipartisan game. Go Jeff!

9. Thanks guys!
Sorry for not getting back, but it has been a crazy two days and looks to get crazier soon.

Jeff is nip and tuck with Russ Carnahan. We may finish within hundreds of votes on either side. St. Louis city is still counting and no one has conceded or declared victory yet. I need more good Kharma today.

12. Well it looks like we lost by about 1,400 votes.
Everyone wants to tell us what a great campaign Jeff ran. He literally came from nowhere to almost take down one of the most influential politcal familues in the state.

Sorry, but moral victories are not enough for me anymore. I'm tired of "changing the face of politics" and not winning elections. Pardon my little mini rant, but I'm still in the early stages of grief.
