WGKA/Atlanta Moves Down The Dial

Owner Salem Communications has moved its News/Talker — which was at 1190 AM — to recently acquired WAFS' frequency at 920 AM in order to give WGKA better overall coverage of the Atlanta metro. Meanwhile, WAFS moves up the dial to 1190 where it is currently stunting as "Air Force One" and playing back speeches by former President Ronald Reagan, including several of his State of the Union addresses and Reagan's now famous speech in Berlin, Germany where he urged then-Soviet leader Mikail Gorbachov to "tear down this wall." Salem/Atlanta Operations Manager Jeff Carter tells R&R that permanent programming plans for WAFS have not yet been finalized and that the stunting "will last from 2 to 4 weeks."
