We must begin to hit Bush on his flip-flops
The ABC poll was actually pretty good. A majority now see Kerry as more qualified to be Commander in chief than the chimp. He is tied with Bush on handling terrorism and he leads on a variety of issues including the economy by 2-1, health care and education.

But

By 2-1 voters see Kerry as a flip-flopper and Bush as true to his beliefs.

This is what is keeping the race as close as it is, imo.

We need to hit Bush hard on his many flip-flops:

In 2000 he said he would create millions of new jobs.

Didn't happen.

In 2000 he said he would be fiscally conservative

Biggest deficits in history.

In 2000 he said he would not overextend our arm forces and would commit them to fight only when there was a clear purpose.

Iraq.

When he was promoting his resolution on Iraq he said that it was WMD

None have been found, now he says it was to liberate the Iraqi people. A huge flip flop.

"I'm a healer, not a divider"

This is the most divided country I've seen and certainly the most since Vietnam.

Feel free to add to the list. But Kerry should cut a couple of ads hitting Bush on his flip-flops. There are many.

1. Read it & weep.

And let's not forget the most outrageous one:

I'm a war president.

I'm a peace president.

Well, Mr. Bush, in November you aren't going to be any kind of president!

2. Don't forget about Osama
When we invaded Afghanistan after 9/11, Bush said that catching Osama bin Laden was our most important task. Six months later, when it became clear that we were not going to find him any time soon, Bush said that he didn't know or care where Osama was, and that catching him would have little impact in the war on terror.

He also called himself a war president one week and a peace president the next.

He also claims to be a Christian, yet has no problem shooting birds at protesting teenagers or allowing his veep to use a rather foul curse word at an elected official...and the list goes on.

3. And in a way that doesn't make it sound too negative...
Not easy to do.

But the message has got to go out about *'s duplicity, lies, and flip-flopping. It's too easy to do and that is part of the problem...

4. Against the 9/11 commission, then for the 9/11 commission.
Against an Intelligence Czar then for an Intelligence Czar.

8. *'s New Stump Speech
I saw a little bit yesterday and caught him attacking Kerry on new government programs and how is he going to pay for it, yada, yada, yada....

I though what an arrogant SOB and where is the media...Bush has clearly grown government by more than 15% AND has run up record deficits doing it.

BTW there is another thread somewhere on DU linked to an LA Times story showing that Repubs make governmment bigger than Dems, EVEN when adjusted for the military that they are SUPPOSEDLY more supportive of.

I can't believe true conservatives buy into his bullshit.....the rest of us have peeked behind the curtain about 24 years ago when RRay-gun started feeding people this shit.
