2. You should have put in a poll.

I think things are great. I'm very optimistic that
the Bush people are desperate to the point of incompetence,
and that Kerry has bona fides.

5. I have some questions
Some people feel Kerry is not countering the flip flop issue on the 87 billion..my thoughts were he was saving it for a one two punch if it were brought up in the debates, but people fear the damage is being done.

Being in California, it's hard to guage the rest of the country..how are you feeling? Have you been traveling or staying close to home base?

6. Kerry's damage control S-U-U-U-CKS
Sorry, but boy oh boy does it ever suck. The fact that Bush threatened to veto his own $87 billion spending bill is never mentioned. The fact that many of Kerry's votes to cut defense spending were supported by the SecDef Cheney is never mentioned either. Someone at the campaign needs to go over the RNC talking points with a fine tooth comb, and have a ready response to the BS being spouted. The 'most liberal senator' pap is an outlier that is debunked by many more substantive rating systems, for example.

7. Okay.
Hopeful since the convention, depressed it wasn't on Network TV.

Bush will go, and quietly too.

Primaries......what, like red, blue yellow? OH! Well, I still think Dean was the best guy for the job, but shit happens.

Kerry will win by ten percentage points or less.

18. Kerry's doing fine...
Though the August blackout of ads will be the key to this election if W gets in the mud and starts slinging; Kerry's going to have to respond somehow...

8. I'm feeling great!
I'm very happy with the jobs both candidates are doing in the campaign. The Bush 'strategery' seems to be based on the premise that you can fool the same people over and over and it clearly isn't working The media seems to be doing its best to hide our momentum, but it doesn't seem to be working. Yes, the primaries do seem like a lifetime ago. Individually my main effort between now and 10/2 will be new voter registration -- and trying to convince my fellow Montanans that there are no 'safe states' for Bush.

They can't hide this forever:

Especially in some of the areas he's campaigning.

17. Great picture, Feanorcurufinwe
Where was it taken and when? Are Kerry and Edwards drawing huge crowds, or what?

The crowds have been fantastic. Another poster said 20000 in Grand Rapids, MI today...

10. Congratulations Pete
for all your hard work paying off!

I think Kerry is looking very good. He looks easy in his new role. He answers the hard questions easily. It makes Bush* look even more ridiculous. From an earlier thread we discussed this, it is good the media is asking him the hard questions. He can answer them! What a difference from Bush* who does not answer many, does not do interviews and looks either stumbling and bored or scary when he does. There are some who will never listen to Kerry but anyone paying attention and not totally committed to Bush* has got to be feeling better about Kerry.

It seems a lifetime ago, Bush* has been effective with this new (fake) terror alert, at least in the short term. Still there was an interview with Kerry this AM on CNN so it wasn't a total blackout.

I think Bush* is a goner if we have an election and a fair one. It sounds like Kerry has already got his ducks in a row with that issue.

I continue to register voters, work for local Dems and have made the commitment to not say anything about Kerry that would show my differences with him. It is time to get down to it, total support. I will air my differences when I can air them to President Kerry. As per Will Pitt, I am killing my Buddha, changed my avatar from Kucinich for President and just put his picture up because he is where my heart is but Kerry is the man. :hi:

14. I'm lovin' it!!!
You knew that though, didn't you? One minute it's tears of joy, the next tears of relief, the next tears of complete gratitude for everybody who has done so much to make this happen. He's doing great. I'm figuring we're at about 6-7 decimals and have a few to go. Can't wait for the debates. What am I doing? Working on a local training session Wednesday, getting ready to ramp it up!

Thanks Pete.

15. Hi Pete! You should be very proud of the work you've done for Kerry.
I think things are going pretty well but it is going to be a long, gut-wrenching three months. There is not a road too low for Bush, Rove & Company. :hi:

19. Feeling cautiously optimistic
I saw my first DNC-sponsored TV commercial today, and I thought it was great. It was simply a cut of Kerry at the convention. All positive.

We're registering voters in our swing state.
