If We Are So Damned Sure About The Terrorists Intentions
I would have to believe that our certain knowledge, right down to the reporting of specific buildings they are interested in, you would sure as hell think we would know where they are. If we are monitoring their every thought then why don't we see their pictures on the TV with a national man hunt for them, why aren't their places of residence raided? We seem to know every dam thing there is to know about them, except who and where they are. So tell me, how do you know a person's most detailed plans if you don't have a clue who they are?

1. "Banging the drum in search of a fugitive" never works...
And even all of *BushCo* can't be this dumb. {Although at times I have serious doubts.}

This is a * campaign infomercial, the August 1 rollout of their basic product line: Fear.

2. In the remote possibility that these warnings are real, they only
go to show that the terrorists support an "election" of *. They know what happens to a president's popularity in the US when there is fear. And why wouldn't they support *? He has given them every single thing they wanted and then some.

3. That's a very good question Thom
and it is such an obvious one, that it leads me to think that
this whole terror alert reporting is bogus.

4. Homeland is their toy....
they can play with it as much as they like. Problem is, the public don't believe their lies. Go Fok Off bush/cheney/ridge.

6. I want Kerry and Edwards to review the "evidence".
Seems to me that this administration should certainly share this information with our candidates. Seems like that would be a simple request. Kerry most certainly has the clearances.

Then, if it's real, I'll take their word for it. Of course, if they are refused the request to review the evidence, then they should let the American electorate know that this is pure political bullshit.

7. Nothing about this makes sense...
in terms of giving them credit for being intellectually honest. If evidence of imminent attacks against specific targets is truly credible, why are we asked to go about our daily routine in normal fashion? Why would we want to risk hundreds or thousands of people being inside a building we know is a specific and imminent target?! If the intel is truly that good and that specific, one would think an attack could be thwarted without alarming the public. The last thing you want to do is let this particular terrorist cell know you know what their plans are if you truly want to catch them.

Since 9-11, the American public generally ASSUMES another attack is possible and I don't think we need Tom Ridge popping out of his hole every six months to state the obvious. If they truly believe an attack is imminent, then by all means don't tell us to ACT NORMALLY!!! Close down the buildings in question until the threat level has dissolved!!!
