Silver lining on the neocon punks yakking over our convention?
I had a thought. Let's assume MOST people watching the convention on FUX are already going to vote for bush. Let's assume SOME of the people watching it on CNN and MSNBC are, too.

Ok, so they hear night after night of repuke commentators totally tearing up the Dem convention. Makes them feel good, right? Makes them feel all warm and fuzzy, right? Everytime they cut away to a kick-ass speech, they then get to hear the repuke commentator bitch and whinge about it, right?

Total. And complete. Apathy.

Anyone who had ALREADY made up their mind to vote for bush who watched this convention on ANYTHING other than CSPAN just got even more dormant. Smug. Sure of chucklenut's election chances. "Sure, we got it all sewn up, you heard all those guys, the Dems SUCKED! HA! Too bad for them!"

Meanwhile newspapers TEND to cover things in a BIT more balanced manner, so anyone actually READING about the convention (or again, watching it on CSPAN) will find out how much it rocked. Studies show only a tiny percentage of bush supporters actually read the paper (following in their foolish leaders' footsteps!).

bush supporters becoming even more smug and sure is a goooood thing, ain't it?

1. Definitely.
Smugness leads to overconfidence leads to complacency. The more they believe Kerry can't win, the less they'll do to make sure it happens.

2. If anyone has a link for the Bush fan=illiterate statistic
I would appreciate it. I have long suspected this.

3. Hmm. Except that the media keeps screaming, "It's gonna be a close one!"
But, perhaps our gentle viewers won't pick up on that.
