Giuliani accuses Democrats of running away from Kerry's record
http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36%257E29805%257E2302640,00.html

Boston - Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, bringing his star power to Republican efforts to rain on the Democratic National Convention, today accused Democrats of spending four days in Boston running away from Sen. John Kerry's record.

By contrast, Giuliani said, the GOP convention in that city next month will showcase President Bush's accomplishments.

"We're going to run on President Bush's record, we're not going to run away from it, which is what they've been doing for the last four nights," said Giuliani, as a crowd of several hundred Republicans at a Boston hotel cheered. "Everything and anything has been discussed but their record."

"We have a president who changed the policy of our government, ... who decided after we were barbarically attacked that we would have to go on offense against terrorism, and not play defense," Giuliani said. "President Bush has done it when it was popular, and done it when it was unpopular." Giuliani said "that's the kind of strength of purpose it takes if we're going to face up to terrorism."

4. Hey Rudy, Why are they closing NYFD firehouses?
No money for first responders? Bush put his arm around your firemen, then stabbed them in the back with lack of funding. What do you say about that Rudy? Hypocrite!!

"Closing firehouses in America while opening them in Baghdad"

That will be the shortest convention in history. What will the networks do with the other 59 minutes of the hour they allot to it?

6. that bastarg pig.
Gulianus, you suck.

Bush HAS YET to go on the offense against terrorism.

Our record ROCKS. Pick a topic: the economy, the enviroment, national defense (yeah, they do have Grenada, in which the 11 fatalities were 'friendly fire", our donkey asses won the world wars), civil rights, women's rights.

8. "We're going to run on President Bush's record" - Ruh Oh George!
What are they going to run on? The Economy? *snicker*, the wonderful things being done in Iraq? Enviornmental Record?... Uh... I think they'll just stick to bashing Kerry, or if history is any idication, finding something totally irrelavant and then trying to tie it to Kerry.

21. Here's the deal on Cheney, by "doing the math"...
...they are betting the farm on their belief that the "loyalty" they are showing by keeping him on the ticket will be respected by the "base" in a large enough degree that it will offset Evil Dick's staggering level of unpopularity OUTSIDE "the base." Bush has two things going for him (not including Nader): the base, and people who don't vote. That's it.

The DNC picked up on recent polls indicating the percentage of Americans who realize that Cheney "doesn't care for them." There were at lease a few references I caught throughout the convention re: Edwards that went something like "You will have a Vice President who CARES about you."

It will be interesting to see if Bush "stays the course" with Evil Dick or treats himself to a new wind-up toy in the likeness of Rudy (or McCain).

24. 9/10/2001, Rudy Giuliani Was Considered a Scumbag
The next day, he was elevated to sainthood by legions of right-wingers unable to think for themselves.

Let's talk about YOUR record Rudy. Especially how the City of New York went to hell in a handbasket under your "care" and how you wanted to move your mistress into Gracie Mansion.
