Have you ever seen a tv in a McDonalds? My local McDonalds has recently installed a wall mounted tv front and center of its dining area. When I visited today, it was tuned to Fox news. It was difficult to swallow my lunch while assaulted with right wing lies: "It's a Democratic myth that Bush didn't win Florida," and "Gore could have asked for a full recount, and he didn't."

They have the same junk on at my bank. I go in there and say, "Why are you listening to Faux News? It's a Republican propaganda machine." I've gotten dirty looks from one of the tellers, but I don't care.

2. find out whether this is a decision of the franchise owner, or a corporate

one. either way, register your displeasure in writing, and indicate that you will not be patronizing the establishment so long as they are politicizing and not just super-sizing, their meals.
