Programs to go to Iraq
Are there any government programs to send people to do work in Iraq like teaching or helping the people there in exchange for student loan debt relief? I was just wondering if anything like that existed.

All we do is send people over there to kill and steal. Ya know....troop support stuff. BTW, sport, what exactly do you do to support the troops? I saw that question asked of you on another thread...Guess you didn't read it, so I ask you now.

3. I donated $$ to the USO
It seems like you have done nothing to support troops except denounce them.

4. So...are the USO in Iraq? Doing what? Explain please.
Yeah, I always denounce killing and thievery. Can't support those types of things, ya know? Bad for the Karma and even worse for the victims.

6. Whatever
Your lack of respect for the armed forces is really offensive and disgusting. You should be ashamed of your contempt that you have for the military and the troops.

7. As the son of a sailor

Who risked his life many a day defending his son's freedom of speech, I am ashamed of you. You have no sense of what it means to be a free American. I ask you a simple question and you come back with a criticism which reeks with McCarthyism and censorship. You, sir, have made yourself my enemy.

5. I haven't heard of anything like that
but I would hope the safe, cushy, out-of-harm's-way type slots that pay a decent wage and alleviate debt should go to those who have seen combat and have been putting their lives on the line from the get go.

The troops are stretched much too thin as it is so I'd encourage anybody who is sincerely interested in helping to go enlist in the armed forces, preferably infantry.
