Which band will play to introduce Kerry?
U2 would be awesome. Bono is at the convention.

20. Nah...
They've been pretty over for quite a while now -- would only send a "has-been" sort of message.

6. How about both?
Springsteen with 'Born in the USA'. Full E Street band, not acoustic.

Then the lights go down. U2 plays 'Beautiful Day' as the spotlight follows Kerry up to the podium.

7. But Kerry is going to repair our relationships
with the rest of the world. It is the end of jingoism.

8. Fleetwood Mac

They shared a jet with Kerry a couple of months ago. ;)

Stevie Nicks is a democrat who's contributed to the Democratic party of Texas and to Maria Cantwell's campaign.

Lindsey Buckingham donates songs to the ACLU and GLAAD, and he has contributed to Planned Parenthood.

And Mick Fleetwood supports the dems even though he can't vote. LOL

This must drive O'Lielly nuts. He's an admitted Mac fan.

14. There must be a surprise in the making.
I'm guessing U2 doing "Beautiful Day," but whoever the performer is, I think it would happen after his speech...

18. Doesn't work for this, but I keep thinking they ought to make use of
"Here Comes the Sun" sometimes...

Underlines the upbeat message they've been pushing.

...Little darlin' it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darlin' it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
Little darlin' the smiles returning to their faces
Little darlin' it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right
