Tell me: why did the DNC think that they would get a clean report from
ANY of the "liberal" news media? What they are doing is trying to destroy everything the Democrats stand for.
MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and even PBS have been absolutely shameless. C-Span is the only one that did a "straight" transmission.
I UNDERSTAND THEY KNOW THAT ALL OF THESE JERKS ARE GOING TO SLOBBER ALL OVER THE RNC... but I don't know if it would not have been better to PREVENT the "media" from showing up... maybe then they would want to get in.
I could not believe that they did not show the speech by the black person who was under Kerry's leadership during Vietnam... I was watching C-span and going back and forth to see what the others showed... and they had their stupid talking heads spouting poison while he spoke.

1. They didnt, they just want the exposure.
There is no fair media, so its conservative media or no media at all.

C-span doesnt exactly get into alot of living rooms.

3. Exactly
There is no point in getting upset because the playing field is not level, that is instead merely a reason to work harder.

2. It is incumbent on the Dems to make the GOP Convention a PR hell.
I want 3,000 Democratic talking heads, everywhere, on every station, spinning 24 hours a day, saying the exact same things, planting memes in the minds of every fucking voter within 2 miles of a television.

I want a Democratic anti-Convention War Room just 2 blocks from Madison Square Garden. I want teems of photogenic, young spokepeople manning the HQ so that we can get massive amounts of free publicity even while well-known speakers are at the podium.

I want Democratic operatives ringing the phones in news control rooms every 10 minutes to insert their talking points and rebuttals into the anchors' mouths. I want hourly blast faxes deconstructing, distorting, and exposing every fucking word that comes out of that Convention. I want to hear Judy Woodruff say, "Did President Bush just have a Dukakis moment? Stay tuned!"

And lying on-camera is OK (e.g., Ken Lay was a Lincoln Bedroom guest of the CLINTONS), because by the time the networks realize it's wrong, it's too late to retract it.

For one brief, horribly ugly moment, we have to play their game, folks. And we have to win. :-(

5. I agree with everything except the lying part
I think we can win with the truth. I think we must win with the truth. They are going to spew so many lies during their Con-Vention that it's not going to be very hard to find ones to point out. A banquet of lies.

6. This is why Dems need to talk politics at work, with their friends, on the
....internet, and need to call into the radio shows.

I'm not advocating being a bore.

I mean, talking politics the way you'd talk about a TV show or a football game -- just make it the topic of discussion, listen to what other people say, and tell them what you think.

You have to bypass the media.
