Have there been any polls of the soldiers in Iraq? 140,000 lots of votes
This is a lot of votes that can and may be screwed with.

1. Soldiers are not polled
According to the Washington Post, soldiers cannot be polled. I think it has the do with the Uniform Code of Mility Justice. Under military law a soldier cannot speak out publicly against the President. In addition, polling soldier might cause problems within the military. Some soldiers might become fearful that they will not be promoted for speaking against the President. Also, the results of the poll may cause some soldiers to not trust their fellow soldiers. Even though the polls are anonymous people probably will want to know which soldiers do not support the President, so a poll could possibly take the minds of the soldiers off doing their job.
