3. I Just Watched The Shithole...

He had a poll which, papraphazing, was whose the worst political pundit...the list included Rush, Ann Coultergeist, Sean Hannity and Michael Moore. Guess who won. Then the asshole goes on to rant how Moore is hiding from him (as is Whoopi Goldberg & any Baldwin or two thirds the rational world) and how he doesn't yell, but is impassioned.

The look on this loser is very strained these days. It isn't as much fun doing this real-life version of "network"...and Howard Beale is starting to meltdown. Right now, though, the ratings say there are still plenty of people who believe what this asshole says or just tune in for the hell of it.

It's not unusual for many shows to stop while taping and edit..."on the fly" per se...or have things that are in the original taping that don't get on the air. That's the perogative of the program producer and while it destroys O'Reilly's attempts at claiming he's fair and balanced, it's a trick used by all with the luxuary of the large staff and network he has.

It'd be a lot more powerful if there was a video of the original segment with Professor Cole that could be used to compare against what went on the air. I'm curious if the folks from "Outfoxed" have something like that.

9. Remember the Morton Downey Jr. Show?

Popular as hell for a few years in the mid- to late-eighties, then it all just fell apart on him. He became almost a cartoon parody of himself and viewers turned off in droves. I look for something like that to happen to O'Reilly -- probably would have already happened had not an entire network been covering his shit (Downey was syndicated).
