Anyone see Joe Wilson on Paula Zahn?
I did a search but couldn't fina anoterh thread, so sorry if this is a dupe.

Wilson countered every word she said and did it carefully by reviewing notes and public statements to make sure he didn't miss anything. He pretty much smacked her down......right until the end.

After he refuted the "wife sent you" meme, they were out of time...almost...just enough time for Paula to say that Wilson had been discredited by a (get this "Bipartisan Senate Report" and that "viewers could decide for themselves."

She didn't mention that the part of the report critical of Wilson was an ANNEX to the report of the commission, written by THREE REPUBLICAN SENATORS!!! I wrote an nasty e-mail to Zahnm regarding her bias (and snotty attitude) just last Friday....may have to do it again........

8. That is exactly my impression. WHY DIDN'T SHE READ HIS
LETTER TO THE SENATE IN SALON BEFORE THE INTERVIEW SO SHE WOULD BE PREPARED?
These are stupid robots....

7. I AM SO GLAD YOU POSTED THIS. That woman is POISONOUS.
Did you see the expression on her face? That twist of the mouth (I don't believe Wilson myself...that is what it implied).
I was so furious... Zahn is a person I won't be watching ever again.

9. Wilson was on a Sunday morning show and dedfended himself
brilliantly. He says he requested that the Commission re-examine the the conclusions given that he has people in the CIA who will support his statements.

I think he is being smeared bigtime. And nothing zahn or anyone other repuke sasys mitigates the fact the his wife was outed.

10. He did a great job here, but he did not have a chance to wipe that
twisted smile and the smear that she closed the segment with. That expression and what she said destroyed anything he might have said for all the uninformed people who might be watching.

15. does Wilson have this article at his disposal?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=artic...

which really does an effective job of defending his trip to Niger, and how his report WAS part of a series of reports putting the Iraq purchase to the lie.

it also provides MANY examples of WH lies/contradictions in response to Wilson's charges

they REALLY were in disarray, trying to deal with this

here:

SOTU speech: "The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

Since last Monday, the administration has offered changing explanations for that statement. At first, White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said the statement was simply wrong because it "was based and predicated on the yellowcake from Niger."

On Friday, Bush and top aides said the CIA approved the inclusion of those words, and CIA Director George J. Tenet took responsibility. Yet Bush aides have argued in recent days that the statement may, in fact, prove to be correct. Officials said Sunday the British had sources other than the forged documents, but they have declined to reveal them.

Yesterday Bush defended the charge as he fielded questions after a meeting in the Oval Office with U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan. "I think the intelligence I get is darn good intelligence," he said. "And the speeches I have given were backed by good intelligence. And I am absolutely convinced today, like I was convinced when I gave the speeches, that Saddam Hussein developed a program of weapons of mass destruction, and that our country made the right decision."

The president again noted that his speech was approved by the CIA and suggested that any doubts about the charge came after the speech. "The thing that's important to realize is that we're constantly gathering data," he said. "Subsequent to the speech, the CIA had some doubts. But when they talked about the speech and when they looked at the speech, it was cleared. Otherwise, I wouldn't have put it in the speech."

Bush's remarks added to contradictions that have been presented by administration officials as they have sought to explain the use of the uranium charge in the State of the Union speech.

Bush's communications director, Dan Bartlett, said last week that Bush was not angry to learn the charge was based on flawed information. Bush himself has voiced no regret or irritation in public.

there's a bunch more following the last paragraph; they were scared Cheneyless over this. luckily, the media let it drop, as they ALWAYS do

remember, this article is from a year ago. note how the WH became unravelled THEN, trying to deal with this story

too bad nobody's going back over this bunch of quotes

KERRY CAMPAIGN, have you seen this?

16. Eva Zahn is a krazy kewpie doll
I can't stand to watch her--she reminds me of a Family Guy episode, where Kelly Rippa takes off her makeup, and reveals an alien.

Zahn is ugly and evil through and through.

LOL. She is not one of my favorites, but I don't find her to be nearly as biased as you all seem to. But that is of course just my opinion.

19. all you have to do is compare her treatment of pugs vs. dems
she NEVER follows up her "tough" questions to pugs, ala potato boy

whereas, she always gives dems a hard time, as she did Wilson tonight?

did you see it? did you read how she ended the show, not giving Wilson a chance to respond to her incredibly misleading statement about the "nonpartisan" senate intel committee?

tonight was par for the course

who do THINK is biased, in comparison to her?

and you can skip anybody on Faux, Scarborough, etal, cause that's too obvious

21. No, I did not watch it tonight.
I do watch Faux sometimes and compared to Faux I have always thought she was somewhat fair. I did notice her getting wet during her interview with 41, though. I find Lou Dobbs, Aaron Brown (biased to us a little bit), Chris Mathews (although I often disagree with him), Keith Olberman (biased to us a little), to be fair. I also like Rather and Jennings. However, I really don't think there is a lefty on the tube with a pair besides Carville and Begala. James needs his own show.

23. I'll watch her more closely from now on....
but the few times I've watched I haven't noticed the bias and whoring you guys claim. I read free Republic sometimes and I find it amusing that they think people like Zahn and Mathews are whoring and working for the dems., but that is not the perception here at all. We need to get the two guys on TV more that they hate the most Begala and especially Carville.

Paula Zahn is a LIAR. The report she mentioned tonight was NOT a bi-partisian report it was an ANNEX to the report of the commission, written by THREE REPUBLICAN SENATORS!!!
Joe Wilson is a true patriot and a hero. Paula Zahn is a big fat Bush dick sucker. She should go back to Fox with the rest of her kind. Joe Wilson deserves an apology from Zahn and CNN. America is sick and tired of getting lied too.
