RNC Fundraising letter: what to do?

Today I received my second plea from the RNC to send money. A lifelong Democrat, I'm not completely sure how I got on their list; by the way they've written my name, it's either my church (Episcopalian, liberal and gay-friendly) or my subscription to Foreign Affairs.

ANYWAY. What I want to know is, what should I send back to them in their postage-prepaid envelope?

1. if you send anything silly

(like a brick) it just gets thown away and they are never charged

And make sure you note that you are making a donation. It'll cost them way more than 2 cents to process the donation.

We get the same thing around here, and dh and I are life-long dems. I think it is our new zip code or something.

Write a nice note thanking them for giving you the pp envelope but telling them that you're not a Republican and had rather not waste their money.

I think they hit the phone book in different communities just to see what they dredge up. I usually send them back with a cryptic note not to send me anymore.

Just for the hell of it... put a dollar on each side to pique their interests...

Or a bunch of condoms and a tastefully worded letter encouraging them to not contribute to the gene pool.

A bunch of q-tips might also send a much needed message.

No bubble gum though... as the marble dust just might scare the daylights out'a them...

I'm now torn between making a statement (with a fake check with a figure representing the deficit, or a condom) or doing something that will be aggravating and cost them money (like sending them $0.02).
