PNAC on IRAN: "Do unto them before they have a chance to do unto you."
Reuel Marc Gerecht, Director of the Middle East Initiative for the PNAC, wrote this in MARCH 2004:

"The Bush administration needs to hang tough and be guided by the golden rule of Iranian clerical politics: Do unto them before they have a chance to do unto you....In the end, only democracy in Iran will finally solve the nuclear and terrorist problems. Ditto for the rest of the Middle East. Whether the Bush administration understands this come June is, of course, a different matter."

Remember...the PNAC writes the foreign policies for this administration.

1. What is this bullshit about democracy solving problems?
Now don't get me wrong, I am all for democracy! I love it, and am excited about the prospect of getting it back here in the US. But what sort of twisted logic assumes that if a nation has a democratic government that they will be free of terrorists? Where is it written that if the nation is democratic, their nuclear weapons will not be a threat?

If the majority of the people in a nation support an action in a democracy, that action will be carried out. Suppose a politician runs for office in a "democratic" Iraq under the platform of, "We Need To Kill Americans". Right now, that kind of platform could get a guy elected over there. Well now we have a democraticly elected psycho instead of a militant regime psycho. Great job.

I love democracy. I love freedom. But it's not some sort of social ambrosia that can suddenly cause a nation of people to become peaceful or logical. I think America 2001-2004 is proof enough of that.

3. I am surprised that the admin just didn't release a memo or

press release to the public stating:

Press Release:

It has come to our attention that House Joint Resolution 114 passed by Congress in October of 2002 as prepared by the White House and submitted to Congress contained a scribner error. The resolution mistaken use of a "q" instead of an "n" through out the full text of the document, resulted in confusion relative to the sovereign nation we were authorized to use force on.

What should have read "Iran had connections to Al Qeade" and "Iran may have assisted and aided the terrorists on 9/11/01" mistakenly implied that "Iraq" had the ties and may have aided the terrorists responsible for 9/11.

We apologize for the scribner or typographical error and we know that the people of Iraq are better off without Saddam Hussein and will therefore understand and forgive the typographic error and the confusion caused by same and will continue to appreciate our efforts. Bringing democracy to Iraq was just and right and the troops killed in Iraq did not die in vein because we were right, despite the scribner error.

In order to prove that this White House admits it mistakes and holds the members of it administration responsible for errors that result in mistakes such as the invasion of the wrong sovereign nation beginning with "Ira", the executive assistant responsible for the scribner or typographical error has been terminated effective immediately.

5. The funny thing is...
That Iran's government is probably closer to a democracy right now than any other country in the mid-east excluding Israel.

7. the media still hasn't told the American people what PNAC is
even though PNAC is running the country.

This is basic PNAC. It's all there, spelled out, exactly what they want to do.

Shouldn't surprise anybody.

I'm just amazed they're sticking with it after Iraq proved to be such a disaster.

I guess they won't stop until WE MAKE THEM STOP.

Anybody see that happening? I don't.

8. "I'm just amazed they're sticking with it...."
Crazed zealots usually keep going after failure stares them right in the face....

These are extreme RADICALS running our foreign policy. They are helped by a weak, corporate-owned Soviet-style press corps that does what the White House emails them to do.

You are right though...WE the PEOPLE will ultimately have to stop them if the election doesn't.
