the skit was commentary on the very attitudes gropy promotes. he is the governor of california now: he should act and speak accordingly. imagine if the situation was reversed...conservatives would be screaming bloody murder, as they did over whoppi's "joke." (note: whoppi goldberg is not an "elected" representative) democrats need to learn that language matters because the facists have been winning their cultural wars with language, and they are still doing it.

But I think it just shows what a joke Ahnold is, and it pisses me off that people are so stupid that he has as much support as he does. It's just one more example of style over substance, which gives us discussions of candidate's hair, Ahnold, Mike Ditka, Kerry's botox, Al Gore's wardrobe, etc.

Of course, around 40% of Americans still think Bush is doing a great job, so I shouldn't be surprised.

The f-word (the one referring to homosexuals) is extremely offensive to me. Girlie-men just sounds ridiculous. It's like when I get called a cracker, I don't get offended, because it's a pretty stupid insult.

Hey, you're within your right to be offended. I'm not saying that you're not. But just like with Cheney's little outburst, I think you're beating against a brick wall. You're right; this kind of behavior is here to stay.
