Linda Ronstadt bounced from the Aladdin support of F911 one of the reasons

It appears she wanted out of her Aladdin and deal and when she supported F911 fans revolted. This is the second report I have heard about negative reaction to her support of F911.

Linda Ronstadt apparently got what she wanted -- to be 86'd from the Aladdin.

In a bizarre performance notable for its bridge-burning comments, Ronstadt inflamed more than her Aladdin audience on Saturday by taking potshots at Las Vegas and dedicating "Desperado" to "Fahrenheit 9/11" filmmaker Michael Moore.

When her show was over, the Aladdin had her checked out of her room and escorted off the premises.

Many walked out during the show, one concertgoer tossed a cocktail on her poster, others defaced her posters and the box office was "a mob scene" of people seeking refunds, according to an Aladdin spokeswoman.

I believe she got into it when she was on tour with Neil Young. I saw her then, when she & Neil dropped by a Houston club where Gram Parsons was playing. It was the first time she sang with Emmylou. Those were wild days--luckily, I was too poor to get into serious trouble.

She realized that her voice could be damaged & stopped sticking stuff up her nose long ago. Nowadays, she's a comfortably built diva; she always tended to be a bit chubby, especially when healthy. She lives in Tucson & San Francisco with 2 adopted children. And she still has a fine voice.

Our city gets 35 million tourists a year. Those concert goers were a representation of the ignorant slobs that make up "the heartland," here on vacation to screw a few hookers and lose the family nest egg before returning to their fundy churches to ask Jeebus for forgiveness.

Don't get me wrong - Vegas brings this shit on itself. I have a friend who works at Nobu restaurant in the Hard Rock. This is a restaurant where two people are lucky to get out the door for less than $300. Since the "what happens here stays here" TV campaign began, Nobu is seeing a steady stream of assholes who feel they can do whatever they want anywhere in Vegas with no consequence. People arrive at the door and demand "a fucking table...now." Girls get up on the tables after dinner and bare their breasts. Not the kind of activity a high-class big-ticket restaurant is used to, to say the least.

Although I don't know her personally everyone who lives in Tucson is aware that spends the majority of her time here in Tucson where she attended school and where her very prominant family has lived since forever. Linda wants her children to have the same benefits that she had of family, culture and schooling. She is very much involved with her children and her city and is a quiet activist.

The Pubs have no qualms in making unproven personal attacks about anyone if it suits their goal of getting their wants met.

29. Her concert has been billed as "half greatest hits"

She pulled the same routine at a show in Wolftrap in Northern Virginia a few weeks ago.

Apparently, the publicity materials for this tour have said the tour is half hits/half other material. It appears that Linda is saying "f*ck the promised material", disregard the "greatest hits" and do her own thing in the end. So, not only does she not offer what the concert promised, she performs one "hit" as a dedication to someone who I'd be willing to say isn't even universally admired by Democrats.

While the crowd reacted poorly with property destruction I sure as hell don't blame them for booing, walking out and demanding a refund.

Linda showed contempt for her audience and they were right to show contempt right back at her.

A relative of mine was at the concert at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Va. When she expressed support for Moore and dedicated an encore of "Desperado" to him, people started booing, then others started cheering to counteract the boos ... and then some people couldn't even hear what she was singing.

45. I saw Linda in San Diego LAST NIGHT

and she did make swipes at Enron, Arnolds "Girly Man" comments and then dedicated the last song to Michael More. The crowed was very RED NECK republican and bood and cheared (only at Michael Moore they claped at the Enron/Aarnold comments - dedicated Fly Away to them). I loved it. No one left and the booing died down.

Great concert.

She played old stuff from an upcoming album and old stuff. She only played for about an hour, but it was great.
