Why do we hear endless right-wing lies in the media, but truths about Bush are largely absent?
Truth #1 by Bush's own words: The intelligence of his "predecessor" was not conclusive:
Bush has said many things
like this:
"It's the same intelligence that was used by my predecessor to bomb Iraq." (Feb 23, 2004)
But to Bush, that intelligence was not conclusive - he
was not sure Iraq was developing WMD:
"I expect Saddam Hussein to let inspectors back into the country. We want to know whether he's developing weapons of mass destruction." (January 16, 2002)
Truth #2: A vote for congressional authorization was not a vote for war - Kerry and Edwards did not vote for war. In Bush's
own words,
"Approving this resolution does not mean that military action is imminent or unavoidable."Anyway, perhaps some ideas for letters to your paper.
