What kind of improvements do you think will come RE: Canada US relations
Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 10:33 PM by HEyHEY
When Kerry is elected?
I think there will be an obvious rekindling of U.S./Canada friendship. However, I still think thick disputes like Softwood lumber will not be resolved. As well, I think more Canadians will travel to the U.S.

1. George Bush has done more...
...for Canada's PR image than anybody since the US healthcare industry.

Canada looks more like 'the North American country without a right-wing fascist dictator' than ever.

That'll go away in November, but you can bask in it for now.

2. Agree
Softwood lumber will always be on ongoing conflict, imo, was there before bush, will be there after. I just want Celluci GONE, that should be the first step to reconciliation, imo, the rest will come.

5. I hope it improves....
We've been crossing the Canadian border for years and the last time we crossed it took us over 2 hours.....we've always expected the usual half hour 'go-over', but last time the border officials really seemed to 'enjoy' checking us out and slowing us up.....

I don't really blame them....it's hard to love Americans these days....I'm even having trouble myself....just another hidden 'Bush-Tax' for me to pay.....
