What will the CIA ultimately do for revenge?
From what I see, it looks like the CIA is using the Plame indictment to get back at the Bush administration. However, if nothing significant comes out of the Plame indictment, what will the CIA do for revenge? How far will they go?

1. They have been known to rig an election or two
Don't think that all of the election riggers are confined to the other side.

2. well, there's probably a divide in the CIA
there are probably Bushites and Bush-haters. They could be having a total war right now, for all we know.

From what I've seen, the people within the CIA who are outraged at the Plame incident will do {whatever} to get back at Bushco, but you can bet there are Bush Nazis in the CIA as well.

7. Stage a terrorist attack and frame bush to take the fall
Their thinking will be, it's better to take out a thousand Americans now than to watch tens of thousands, perhaps millions die when bush goes totally out of control in a second term.

They will engineer the entire scenario to convince Americans that bush is asleep at the wheel when it comes to terrorism.

As a matter of fact, they don't even have to allow the entire "terrorist attack" to ensue, just get it close enough to prove that bushco is incompetent to stop one. It will be the CIA that rushes in at the last moment and stops the attack, with the insistence that they tried to warn bush and he did nothing.

If I were CIA, I'd be spitting nails right now and hoping at least one of them lands in bush's a**.

10. That's so diabolical
but it may be for real. The CIA does have some control over media outlets and may be able to spin it right. I doubt they'll kill anyone, but letting it almost happen may do the trick.

11. no one would have to die to frame the Shrub...
just what you said, engineer a scenario, get all the 'hardware' in position...

then have the 'terrorists' send a warning to every news organization.. say "here is it, we coulda, you couldn't stop it if you wanted to."

that would totally WIPE THE FLOOR with 'Homeland Security' and make BushCo look like fools..

no one has to die...

13. No one has to die, true, but more horrifying if many do die
Edited on Tue Jul-13-04 06:27 PM by Straight Shooter
Edit to add, more horrifying and thus more convincing to America of the dire consequences of bushco's incompetence. The Kool-Aid drinkers may give him another pass if it's only a close call.

The CIA isn't above such a scheme, is what I'm saying. The ends justifies the means has become the modus operandi of everyone in power, seems to me. And "diabolical" is exactly the right word. Fight fire with fire. Fight evil with evil, then?

I would like to think the CIA would have higher standards than to sacrifice Americans if their agenda is to remove bushco, but cannot convince myself of that, in light of their actions in other countries which resulted in deaths of many many thousands of innocent people.

We are pawns.

15. I'd like to say you're off the mark
but sadly...in this grand chessboard that the CIA and other power organizations call Life, normal human decency does not apply.

9. I saw several of these guys on Friday's Nightline
and they're smart, canny people. I wouldn't want them as my enemies. And Bush has made them his enemies. You can't blame intelligent, hard-working people for your failures and expect them to not to resent you and your evil cabal. I have a feeling these guys know how to exact payback. Bush is amazingly stupid, isn't he?

14. Not a damn thing
The CIA wants to destroy America. The CIA hates us for our freedoms. They let 9/11 happen, they lied about WMD, they lied about the USSR, they lied about Central America. They all hide the truth from us and hate it when we find any.

Plame was probably not 'on their side' anyway and they couldn't care one bit what happens to her. As far as I'm concerned the CIA could be abolished today and the world would be a far, far better place.

Is the CIA's rage for revenge that black and determined?
