Just heard on CNN re: The Plame leak

Tom Harkin said "one year later we still don't know who leaked".

Wilson said he was "outraged" by Senate Intelligence report that an unnamed CIA officer said his wife proposed his name to investigate the Niger claim. He said this was "false innuendo" and that others at CIA recommended him.

CIA officers confirmed his account.

after playing it a few times, I'm pretty sure Ensor was quoting Wilson as saying the CIA official told HIM, not Ensor that others at CIA did it.

he did a pisspoor job of phrasing the whole thing, making it very confusing

but Wilson, I think, is the one quoting the senior CIA official in his own defense, not Ensor

he said the Senate Intel report sourced the story that Plame recommended Wilson to "an unnamed CIA officer"? I was under the impression that it was an "unnamed CIA employee" .... and while at first, the distinction between "officer" and "employee" may seem minor, .... I think it will become significant.

There is a small group of DUers that participate in the GD "Plame Indictment Threads" ( it's now on 6, soon to be on thread #7) .... we are trying to get 100 DUers and interested parties to write to or e-mail letters to a few important places .... including Time and Countdown on MSNBC (both have supplied significant information to the public on this case) and to a couple congressional representatives. We would very much appreciate your assistance.

We are hoping that, in time, we will be able to have a solid little group of DUers who will participate in weekly activities to promote democracy at home and abroad. Thank you for your consideration.

I have been participating in the threads and letter writing campaign too. I came in at the end and am almost sure they said unnamed CIA officer. Wilson would not be interviewed by camera but was outraged.

Also, I heard John Dean say today that the elections will not be canceled. He had first hand info from the inside and said Rice was telling the truth. I was shocked to say the least. I did want to pass it on.
