CIA report is letting Bush off the hook without mentioning O'Neil, Clarke
Edited on Sun Jul-11-04 10:44 PM by glarius
and other ex-White House employees who said Bush was intent on war with Iraq from day one of his administration.
All the blathering about the just released report that the CIA mislead the Congress and Bush about WMDs., therefore Congress voted to allow Bush to go to war.....What monumental BULLSHIT! They are making it look like Bush went to war because he really believed there was an iminent threat from Saddam.....Nobody is talking about the several ex-White House employees, such as Clarke, O'Neil and others who have said that BUSH WAS INTENT ON GOING TO WAR WITH IRAQ from day one of his administration....He only listened to those who agreed with him that Saddam had to be taken out......I have not heard ONE person on American television refer to these people who have left Bush's administration and spoken out.....

1. The CIA stuff was so good they outed Valerie Plume just for the
fun of it. NOT. They were mad her husband said the yellowcake sales was a forgery. This report is unbelieveable. No wonder congress voted for the stupid war - they are stupid. This lets congress off the hook too.

2. The American media is in the pocket of the Republicans
They never miss a chance to pounce on something to make Clinton look bad, but overlook anything negative pertaining to Bush...This is so OBVIOUS to me, as a Canadian....This whole thing I keep hearing about the "Liberal" American media is a JOKE!

3. Exactly, exactly, exactly.
While watching "Meet the Press" this morning, I was screaming "What about Richard Clarke??? What about Paul O'Neil?? What about the nuances of David Kay, even?" at my television.

The fact that this administration came into the White House with eyes on Iraq, before 9/11 and after, is being ignored completely in the Senate/CIA debate.

Dianne Feinstein, on "This Week" urged people to connect the dots themselves, but I wish the Senate had just finished the job. At any rate, it looks like it's up to us to remind the world of the hyping of intelligence (especially now, compared side-by-side with the analysis in the new report), along with the assertions of Clarke and O'Neil.

4. All the Democrats are missing the boat by not pointing out this fact!
It is so frustrating to watch!

7. The Democrats made a deal to postpone part of inquiry until after election
The part of the inquiry that the administration is involved in -- Cheney, OSP, Bush.

5. And don't forget the OSP
and Karen Kwiatkowski.

There is so much that was swept under the rug. I hope someone starts to push these facts out into the open.
