Judd Gregg
I found this interesting after looking up the results. Percentage of the vote he got in his last two elections:

1992: 48.2%
1998: 67.8%

why such a huge jump? Was it because there was more problems with his opponent than his popularity? And thus might he be more vulnerable than he appears?

1. Weak opponent in 1998?
That could be it.

his opponent, recieved 88,000 votes to Judd's 213,000. His opponent was weak - and he has a difficult name, something which doesn't play well in NH national politics.

Unfortunately for us, Gregg and Sununu do what they're told by the party, and spare little thought to what's good for the state. This election left about 150,000 residents of the state with no representation.

He should be gone - but I don't think the Democrats have a strong enough challenger to beat him.
