So the "conservatives" think there is too much "polarization" ??
This was the topic on early morning C-SPAN this AM. The right-wingers could not wait to dial in and tell the world how awful the "liberals" treat pResident Bush. The country is so polarized, they said. The root of the problem is discussed in another post here in GD by Tyler Durden: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=1893883&mesg_id=1893883

If they don't want the polarization, then they have the power to do something about it. They have control of the present government. All they need to do is restore a sense of fairness to the media and that would be a giant step towards restoring civility and healing the rifts of polarization. But they won't do it.

And Democrats are not going to sit by and listen to their crap with Limbaugh, Hannity, and right-wing propagandists on talk radio, along with FOX News and cable television propagandists and not fight back. Let them whine about FH-9/11 if they wish. They only want free speech if they are the ones speaking. Well, screw them!

We would love to have equal time on the airwaves for controversial political issues but it is the Republicans that are fighting it - under the guise of it limiting "free speech". That is a big pile of bullshit. So, if they are tired of the polarization, that is too bad. They have no one to blame but themselves.

4. Yes, isn't it wonderful how they whine and complain about it....now.
It was perfectly ok when it was only right-wing harpies sliming Clinton, Hillary, Gore, or anyone else to the left of Hitler.

But God forbid anyone dare to actually question the policies of the boy-king.

If they want a civil dialog, they can have it. But they will have to be the ones who go first. And that means Rush, Savage, Boortz, Hannity, and all the right-wing assholes who regularly use libel, slander, character assassination, and buzzwords mend their ways. And I can tell you this, there is not a chance in hell they are going to change.

6. It is a World Wide problem
Most hate americans worldwide now thanks to our bumbling leader. He has created division and polarization in every corner. Polarization is only one more symptom of a vast, republican, social disease.

Besides, Didn't cheney just say that war was a great "clarifier"?

7. Polarization means GOP losing support
When they say "polarization" they mean "the left is speaking up." So when they complain about it they mean "shut up." I take it as another positive sign that things are falling apart for them. It means the middle is falling away from the

Resident.

8. The Neocon Facsists have roused a Giant...
like the imperial Japanese in WWII. They have roused a giant that is slow to anger but will crush them in the end. We on the left and moderate side (I'm a moderate/Independent) are larger, smarter, have more imagination and creativity. And we have truth and rationality on our side. They are basically screwed and are increasingly becoming tangled in the web of lies and fantasy they have spun.

wonder if the country will ever come back together after we've stomped the NeoCons like the insects they are..

9. I sent an e-mail to C-Span. for all the good it will do...
I appreciate C-Span as the only TV source that transmits unvarnished events. However, this morning the Washington Journal program has been so UNBALANCED to the right that I think you need to provide some balance to the middle or to the left.

This morning started with David Brooks (minding the loss of civility: how come he didn't mind when the uncivil ones were only the right wing radio/tv shows? now the left is adopting some of the same techniques to respond...uncivility is all of the sudden unacceptable? hmmmmmm).

Then a Washington Post person -- the least objectionable of the bunch, but no liberal by any means.

Followed by York from the National Review denying that torture is torture because our torture is a better, cuter, nicer, American made torture.... insisting we got wonderful information out of the tortured people (contradicted by experts and, as a matter of fact, by Newsweek this week).

Then followed by a Bush adm. think tank on Iraq... they have gotten $10 M from the government to investigate Peace? How balanced are they?

Could you please, please provide a liberal (or even left-leaning) cover-to-cover program tomorrow? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

10. That's a way of saying, "shut-up! shut-up! shut-up!".
Very O'Reilley-esque. Behave like a goose-stepping fuckwit, then when people point it out, blame them for being so "polarized".

Har fucking har. This is what extremism breeds, Republicans. People begin to notice and respond in kind. Chickenshits.

is anyone who does not agree with them, anything that does not jibe with their worldview. As if what they believe in is the law of the land.
