Norm Coleman made a Freudian Slip and dissed Ann Coulter to boot!
On a Minnesota Public Radio interview yesterday, he was responding to a caller's question about bipartisanship. He said, in reference to his years as St. Paul Mayor, "I was a Democrat... I was a Repubilican working with a Democratic legislature." He clearly did not mean to admit to his prior life as a Democrat!

Another question was about Ann Coulter's book "Treason", which the caller said was second on the best seller list (after Harry Potter - I have no idea what list she was referring to), to which Coleman replied, "They're both fiction!". He then admitted he hadn't read it, but claimed Coulter represents the "fringe".

The rest of his responses were predictably smarmy and evasive. He repeated the lie about Saddam Hussein "kicking out" the inspectors, and after a caller set him straight (the U.N. ordered the inspectors out) he repeated it again.

1. ahhh, The Brooklyn Kid strikes again
Hey Norm, Saint Paul doesn't have a legislature - it's called a City Council - remember?
(go Stu Alger for Ward 1, btw!!)

He must've been distracted by thoughts of all the skirt-chasing he could get back to once he got out the radio studio.

Did anyone get a chance to ask him if he's still at 99% improvement over Wellstone, or if he's more around 85-90% percent now?
