GPS Implants now being used.
A long time friend and roughneck has been given a GPS implant so he may be located in case of kidnapping. He tells me its the latest in tech trends world wide. He works in Saudi Arabia and makes such good money he does not want to leave.

1. Yeah, they have discussed this techology for kids too.
But I am not sure I want Unka Sam or anyone else to know where my kdis are at all times. That seems more dangerous than the slight chance they will get lost or kidnapped.

3. For Kids ?
Wow that would be drastic. I have known D.O. for over 30 years and he just emailed me telling me of the implants. I didnt know it could be done. But now many oil workers are doing this.

7. For kids? Now that's sick.
Think of how many paranoid parents are going to do this to "protect" their children. Mine probably would have.

I know this is not a "news" story, but is there a product description on the web for this technology?

4. Money always wins out. I am surprised that he does not just
leave. I am not bashing your friend, but if it were up to me. I would leave and tell them where to stick their money.
