for how this whole gang runs things. There's no such thing as diplomacy anymore. They are simply incapable of being civil to people with whom they disagree, whether it be Democrats, or the French, or anyone else.

The sad part is the Republican base LIKES this aspect. They LIKE that spiteful arrogance has replaced discussion. They LIKE that diplomacy is viewed as a weakness by this administration.

The happy part, though, is that MOST Americans don't feel this way. I hope Kerry and his runningmate are able to make this point strongly. I'd love to see the Dem VP candidate say, during a debate, "I promise never to tell a US Senator go to eff himself just because I disagree with him."
