Am I paranoid or did anyone else get the feeling while leaving F9/11
that "they" may have had someone watching movie-goers, and even filming who was entering and leaving the theatres??

It actually SCARED me to see what they have done with the Patriot Act...the woman forced to drink her own breast milk at the airport, infultrating that cookie-munching Peace organization...

Also, don't forget that the B*sh administration has BANNED White House Staff from seeing Fahrenheit 9/11!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5286752/

"...given how the Bush administration is reacting to the 9/11 film, which is, you know, banning their staffs from going to see it or anybody..."

1. I hate to add to this but...
I recall that Nixon had spies amongst protest crowds. They've got files on dissenters up in Washington from the Viet Nam protests.

7. And I wonder what they will think if they see the movie!
Wasn't it strange, too, that Moore was stopped by the U.S. SECRET SERVICE was filming the Saudi Arabian Embassy!?

24. I cou ld care less if the Refurbs are watching meThey wont to scare
I could care less if they are watching me, it would be funny if they came after me and old lady with a string of DAR Patriots, pins that would reach half way to my feet..They wonted to scare people, that was what the idea was all about. I would make that little alcholic look like a fool if he got me in a debate, that is as long as I didn't have to spell the words.

4. Don't fear
They are imploding. They don't have time to send their brownshirts to round up people like us. They are concentrating all their forces on Congressional Democrats, the bravest people in the world IMHO.

5. Just think, they could also put a camera
on the street and film everyone who walks by.

What would be the point? How could they tell what a person's reason was for seeing the film? Don't you think some freepers will go see the film just so they can can rag on it?

Even in my most parnoid fantasies that would seem like a pointness thing to do. The FBI is already complaining about not having enough agents, where would the staff come from to scan those hundreds of thousands of frames of film?

Sorry to be so negative, but that thought is just plain nuts.

they could save themselves some trouble and pick up a phone book.

The drip drip of awareness has turned into Niagara Falls.

Still, I'll bet they WISH they had that much control.

11. ok tinfoil hat is firmly in place, I must say I was getting some hard
looks from quite a few "bystanders" just hanging out in 103 degree heat in the courtyard in front of the theater. Mostly males (with some women) in their late 20's to mid 30's, there was about 20 or so "standing" by the exit?

This venue has a large courtyard and the teens and kids mill about quite a bit, but adults (by and large) quickly move across to the parking lot or the entrance to escape the heat. :tinfoilhat:

12. If "they" were watching they sure got to see a lot of us!
To hell with this paranoia business. "They" don't have enough brownshirts to keep us all in line; they won't need them if we're scared enough to police ourselves.

14. Much easier to just track people who visit DU and sites like it
They are certainly capable of videotaping everyone who goes to
see 9/11, but running facial-recongition software burns a lot
of computer power and hasn't worked very well when they've
tried it so far.

Much, much worse if they're trying to identify everybody instead
of just trying to spot people they already know about.

Worse still, considering how many people went to see the movie.
I think that's a few orders of magnitude more people than managed
to score tickets to the Superbowl.

15. F911 showed a group for peace had been infiltrated by the police
Apparently they wanted to know how many cookies they were eating...

And though the cookies were rather small
They had to count them all

Apologies to the Beatles

17. Actually...
there was a man taking digital pics of us standing around outside the theater. He was sitting across the street in his car. When my daughter approached him, he rolled up his tinted windows and drove off. She took down his lic.#. He had a buzz cut & out of state plates. Curious.

25. Well theres always people standing around
at the theatre I go to. All for various reasons--waiting for someone, whatever, and they tend to watch the crowd, thats just what people do.

And I kind of understand banning the white house staff, just from a PR standpoint. That way none of them have to comment on the film--if they get asked a question, all they have to do is say that they haven't seen the movie.

26. Like Dylan said, "Everybody Must Get Stoned"
Well, they'll stone ya when you're trying to be so good,
They'll stone ya just a-like they said they would.
They'll stone ya when you're tryin' to go home.
Then they'll stone ya when you're there all alone.
But I would not feel so all alone,
Everybody must get stoned.

Well, they'll stone ya when you're walkin' 'long the street.
They'll stone ya when you're tryin' to keep your seat.
They'll stone ya when you're walkin' on the floor.
They'll stone ya when you're walkin' to the door.
But I would not feel so all alone,
Everybody must get stoned.

They'll stone ya when you're at the breakfast table.
They'll stone ya when you are young and able.
They'll stone ya when you're tryin' to make a buck.
They'll stone ya and then they'll say, "good luck."
Tell ya what, I would not feel so all alone,
Everybody must get stoned.

Well, they'll stone you and say that it's the end.
Then they'll stone you and then they'll come back again.
They'll stone you when you're riding in your car.
They'll stone you when you're playing your guitar.
Yes, but I would not feel so all alone,
Everybody must get stoned.

Well, they'll stone you when you walk all alone.
They'll stone you when you are walking home.
They'll stone you and then say you are brave.
They'll stone you when you are set down in your grave.
But I would not feel so all alone,
Everybody must get stoned.
