I had this idea after seeing the 3 new Turks who the terrorists are . . .
holding hostage for 72 hours before beheading them.

Al Jazerra is the main station that is putting these terrorist requests out there, right? Al Jazerra is Saudi ran, right? Why not when the terrorists send in a tape with threats against other humans that they have kidnapped, just don't show the thing.

That way, no one will hear their pleas, no one will hear their threats, no one will care because no one would know. They would not benefit from it at all if no one showed it.

Now is this a crazy idea? Seems like a simple fix to me. Of course, I'm no genius. Just seems like a common sense thing to do.

Also, whether they put it on the INTERNET, don't put it on the news. The Saudis are our allies, right? (choking, laughing). Shut their website down and no one report their little speeches.

Opinions????

4. Al Jazeera is not Saudi.
And, it's ridiculous to think that shutting AJ down would in, any way, stop the terrorists from getting their threats out.

BushCorp would love to shut Al Jazeera down because it's a helluva lot more accurate in it's reporting than the "mainstream" media.

7. No, I must not have explained what I meant very well . . .
What I mean is, Al Jazerra not show any terrorist threats, not to take Al Jazerra off the air. If the terrorists have no outlet for their kidnappings and no way to "publicly", via the airways, speak their threats and demands, that maybe, just maybe the kidnappings would stop. When the terrorists send a tape in and it is played, then suddenly the world is listening, and they have power. It just seems to me (naive maybe), that if they had no way to get their "threats" on T.V., then they would lose all their power as far as kidnappings.

Also, I did not know that Al Jazerra is out of Qatar. However, I really doubt that they are not censored by their own government in some way. After all, isn't the Bush Administration deciding who will be a democracy and who won't in the middle east?

You mean they already have freedom of the press?

6. There was a long period where I started becoming more sure of my
position that Al Jazeera was a U.S. CIA-Military front. The U.S. seems to have nearly taken over Qatar and some of the things I caught from Al Jazeera smelled of propaganda for the U.S.

Then, I saw Control Room (the documentary of the pre- and post- Iraq War 2). It made me feel that they were not 'owned' by the U.S., but you never know. There was a lot of ridicule bordering on contempt for the way we managed the news in Iraq. I could sense an evolving attitude and a growing sadness rising from the death of one of their favoorite reporters who was killed in what appears to have been a traitorous act by the U.S. military of taking out the building housing Al Jazeera - precisely while the reporter was being transmitted on camera.

This admin and their supporters are so righteous about this war. It is inhuman.
