GOOD NEWS: Long time republicans to vote for Kerry
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 01:41 PM by drdigi420
My wife's parents live in central Illinois, voted for Bush, have suggested that my wife was nuts several times for telling them about what's really going on. Now that the press has finally gotten over their fear of upsetting the president after 9/11, the truth is getting out and they have pledged to vote for Kerry.

This is a 4 vote swing. Not only will they not vote for Bush, they will vote FOR Kerry. Her parents are a barometer for the 'everyman' in the midwest. If THEY are changing their minds, things are looking up for us.

And they havn't even seen F911 yet!

If we all work hard, this will be a landslide defeat for Bush. Much bigger than his defeat in 2000.

1. Two more long time Republicans see F911 in NJ and vow to
vote against Bush in New Jersey. I've been telling them the truth for over a year now and suddenly, I'm no longer the one who is crazy.

6. I will sally, thanks.
Dad, also was longtime repub, but changed parties after voting for shrub in '00, he was so mad at lies. Sadly, he was killed in accident Memorial day, so he can't vote against *. He wanted to so badly too.

All those years when they were so narrow minded, I was so frustrated, had even stopped going to family get togethers most of the time, so much intolerance. Took a tornado wiping out house and almost killing all, but their hearts grew softer and I could go home more again.

Thank God.

7. I'll vote for Kerry
in remembrance of your father. I also converted someone who was leaning towards Bush, so there's 2 votes for your father. God Bless him.

8. I am so sorry for you
It is so horrible to lose a parent. My heart goes out to you. It seems the first year or so it is just numbness. This too will pass. My prayers are with you.

3. Yes, that's quite a swing.

It just may be a landslide...

We won't know for sure until November 2 (at the earliest), but it's hopeful sign!

5. My RW pastor FIL _almost_ would vote for Kerry
On the one hand, he buys the * crap about the war and is anti-choice and gay marriage. (no surprise there)

BUT, he reregistered as an indy after a lifelong affiliation with the GOP last year. Why? Because he disagress with the GOP plan to dismatle social programs. Believe me. This is one guy appreiciates medicare. He could never afford the several hundreds of dollars of pills he takes per month otherwise.
