"The difference between using an expletive when you think no one can hear you and when you want the world to hear you should be obvious to everyone. But in part due to the unprecedentedly large number of people who have attended college, the obvious often needs to be explained.

If you are a Democrat and it troubles you that General Clark is proud to have Madonna's endorsement, that moveon.org celebrates by having a curse-in, and Senator Kerry uses the f-word in a magazine interview, you might want to reconsider your party affiliation. The Democratic Party has earned a reputation as a poor defender of our civilization against external threats. In fact, it has become a poor defender of our civilization. Period."
from "Why Democrats use the F-word" - January 20, 2004

and if that weren't enough, the self-appointed guardian of society's morals is at it again:

"As for the liberals who think that using the f-word in public is no big deal, it is good to have them say so. Anything that clarifies the massive values-differences between the Left and the Right is helpful. We who are not on the Left think public cursing is a big deal, because we believe that people can pollute their soul, their character, and, yes, their society, just as they can pollute their rivers and their air and their lungs."
---from "On public cursing and other public sins" - January 27, 2004

spread this around. not a peep from dennis on cheney and leahy yesterday. it's time to call this pompous ass on his hypocrisy.

3. So Dennis - how does your moral clarity apply to VP Crashcart?
After all, it's hard to get much more public than the floor of the Senate on CSPAN.

Dennis? Hello? Dennis . . . . is this thing ON?

5. It's a ridiculous diatribe to begin with, but is he actually saying that
Edited on Fri Jun-25-04 04:11 PM by Cat Atomic
it's admirable to be a hypocrite?

Seems like he's saying that the problem isn't liberal's cursing, it's the fact that they do it openly and in public.

His morally superior stance is to act pious in public, then behave differently in private.

No wonder men like this advocate the police state. They have a low opinion of humanity, and expect that everyone is like themselves: completely amoral when no one is looking over their shoulder.
