We need a new DU goal for November:
I think we should all go out (every one of us) and register at least five people(friends, family, co-workers, etc.) who have never voted before, and sit down and discuss with them about the direction our country is going. I truly believe we live in a liberal society, but it is the tyranny of the righteous minority that is causing the downfall in our country. I think there are millions of people in our country beginning to wake up and smell the stench in the kitchen, but they don't have have any direction to turn to. The mass media will not help them. We need to reinvigorate free-thought in our fellow Americans. I believe the vast majority of people aren't dumb; they are just unaware of the crap being fed to them day after day. We don't need to yell or scream or intimidate. We just need to inform. That is the key. Show them what it is they are yet to become aware of. Show them alternate media that doesn't consist of three letters (BBC excluded, of course :)). Show them evidence of the fraud perpetrated by this Administration. We can rant and rave and scream here all day and all night, but it is what happens in the real world with real Americans that will decide the outcome in November.

I don't think this is a extraordinary pledge. I know many here have already been doing this very thing, but we need the entire mass of DU to push this effort forward and push the Righteous Republicans out of Our House.

1. I brought my housekeeper (she is almost family member)
to register. She is in her mid 50th and never voted before.

Because we can't vote yet(green card), she said she is doing it for us! We had a lot of political discussions in the past and she started to be interested in her country's politics!

I helped her get the paperwork done. Now she is so happy to be involved and said, it's a good feeling.

:)

2. Hi elf! How's it going for you?
:hi:

I was thinking of you a lot the other day, and in fact, mentioned you to a friend who immigrated from what is now the Czech Republic. He understood everything you said in your (sad) post........ my thoughts are with you!

Kanary, with a :hi: for your housekeeper!

3. Hi Kanary
I'm doing a little bit better since I feel, that the opposition is reacting now.

More and more critic is brought out louder..........let's wait and see.
I'm very tense and will decide what to do after the election.

:hi:
