Could the puppeteers be thinking about cutting the strings?
Is all of the fecal matter hitting the rotational cooling device due to the fact that the puppeteers no longer like their creation and are getting ready to trade it in on a newer model? Could the puppeteers be the ones pulling the strings to make the Bush Lied story stick? The 9/11 report comes out soon and it will be pretty damning (stating emphatically that the administration was warned during the summer and did nothing about it).

No matter which way you turn on 9/11 and Weaponsgate, whether you go with incompetence or complicity, it doesn't look good for the administration.

My concern is this, could this result in numerous "centrist" Republicans bolting their party to the Democratic Party prior to the primaries to get a nominee more in line with their way of thinking? Could this be the cards being played by the puppeteers right now? This could result in a Lieberman candidacy that actually wins (both the primary and the general election) if you think about it!

Oh well, I'll take the :tinfoilhat: off for now. Flame away...

2. Yes
they got their little chimp to start the war, now we will be left to clean it up, and soldiers to die in the process.

3. Could be
Centrist Republicans or not; the media's whore fest with Bush is starting to end. I think they finally realize that he's against them also.

These stories are just to juicy not to hype or investigate; even Chris Matthews one of the biggest washington establishment insiders is starting to hype it as well.

I'm not a fan of liberman, but given when all these stories explode and reach critical mass, not many people are going to like any of the republicans choices or those in congress for blindly following their puppet president.

12. this is the only angle I reject
the media has been complicit in everything, from the stolen election to the coverup of Enron and 911, to brainwashing and cheerleading the public for the bogus war.

If (still a very big IF--it still might be story management and damage control) they are turning on him now, it has NOTHING to do with a juicy story, any sense of honesty, fair play or duty.

4. Heh, the Lieberman thing is creative!
And I love "Weaponsgate," that is a keeper.

The GOP puppetmasters HAVE to be thinking about what they would do if Bush* implodes, and when they would cut their losses and dump him. And who they would put in his place.

I'm not thinking Lieberman is their first choice, although he certainly wouldn't be their last!

Giuliani?

Frist?

5. Clark?
After all, he hasn't declared a party affiliation yet. Could Clark be who is being groomed to take over for Smirko the CokeClown?

7. Bingo!
Remember how people in both partise were drolling over Collin Powell a few years ago?

I think Clark is not likely to stand for office as a Democrat. He is more likley to run as an GOP alternative (or even be offered the nomination at the convention if things just go all to hell for Bush and they can't hold it together).

But Clark would have to cozy up to the deep right wingers in the party for that to happen, because of the composition of the rank-and-file delegates at the GOP convention: Pro-Life, Pro-Family, Pro-Gun.

11. Nope
No, no, no, no, no. Gen Clark's son said TODAY that the General would NOT run as a Repub. Period. His beliefs are orthogonal to the modern GOP.

14. When I read
about the support Clark gets here, I begin to shiver and the short hairs on the nape of my neck start tingling.

It is the same physical reaction I had when I 1st heard * was considering running for president. I must admit, though, I already had worked up a heaping amount of distaste of * at the time.

Something is just not right about Clark. It is beyond the stories I've read about him while googling his name. (Though that in itself had my short hairs doing a jiggy.) His refusal to state in the mainstream media which party he would run for is more than suspect, IMHO.

What I do agree w/is, I can almost hear the sharpening of knives by the neo-cons, as they prepare to cut *'s boat ropes and send him adrift. He has served his purpose and has now become a liability.

The nearly sudden appearance of negative questioning of * in the media makes me ponder over who ordered it.

6. I don't know
if it would even have to be Lieberman. Many of the candidates get their $$ from the Korporate elites. But yes it does seem strange that these stories are suddenly sticking when heretofore there was a stranglehold on the press with negative stories on chimpy and the gang.

9. the chimp has always been expendable
that is why they used him as a front for this phase of the corporate coup. They will help destroy him and that will be just one more distraction from the real evil going on.

I will be happy to see chimp and the rest of the current zoo fall but fear what comes next. They do their worst away from the spotlight.

10. Could be
IMO, the real "puppeteers" are those with wealth and power. Their support for Bush* lasts only as long as it's profitable to do so. For one thing, the corporate media seems to have gotten what it wants (the removal on restrictions on cross-ownership), so I'm not sure what they would get out of continuing their support for the Chimp.
