Jimmy Carter -New Hampshire,New York,New Jersey:party: (Delegate)
Senator Ted Kennedy 1980- Pensylvania:beer:
Gary Hart-New Hampshire-1984-Florida, California (Santa Monica):smoke:
Dukakis in Fall Campaign in Florida (Miami Beach)1988

1992 Clinton: N.H. Maryland,California.
1996 Clinton: Maryland .
2000 Gore-New Jersey

1. I ran for president in 1980...
but ran out of funds after a ten-minute campaign at the Democratic convention.

I have never worked for any campaign. I was apathetic until Bush won in 2000. That woke me up and shocked me.

John Anderson! I was just thinking about his campaign yesterday. I worked the phones some for him in 1980 -- one of the true mavericks. When push came to shove, I still ended up going with Carter.

When people complain about centrists, in a way, the are complaining about Anderson, because he's the one who showed the pols how fertile that ground was. Clinton was essentially Anderson, with more charisma and the Democratic machine behind him.
