There are people sleeping in the street to see Clinton in NYC tomorrow.
I walked by the Barnes and Noble where Clinton is going to be. There were people camped out. I asked what for and they said Clinton. The line was about 20 long at 8:00pm. Anyone going should leave like now.

1. Quite frankly, that's kind of bizzarre.
I wouldn't camp out in line overnight for a politician, no matter who it was. I understand the enthusiasm and all, but that just seems a bit excessive. I'd certainly get a copy autographed if I could, but no waiting in line overnight for me.

2. Agreed. It seems kinda nutty
I mean it's not like we're going to learn anything historically from reading this. I think it's just another installment in a political campaign that is still ongoing. You read it within that context and you take it with a grain of salt.

4. I'm impressed. If it were Madonna tickets, would you think it odd? Nope.
So why for Clinton?

Maybe they're going to sell those spots tomorrow. Mabye they're being entrepreneurial.

Obviously Clinton is a big big draw.

22. Yet, you realize that many many people do it.
Seriously, I've never thought it odd.

People do it for Shakespeare in the Park. People do it for all sort of things.

11. Clinton is a superstar
No matter how much some people try to put him down, a lot people love him.

Plus people like to wait in line for events with like-minded people. When Clinton came to Lawrence, KS, half the fun was waiting in line with a WHOLE bunch of DEMOCRATS in the middle of Kansas. If your lucky, it creates it's own kind of energy for the event you are waiting for and becomes part of the memorable experience.

I've met some great people waiting in line for concerts, etc. Anyone ever wait in line for Saturday Night Live stand-by tickets? That's an experience you'll never forget!

Of course, I drove from KC to Iowa to hear Clinton speak so if I was in NYC, I'd probably be camping out myself. :)

12. Clinton is a rock star
I admire several politicians who have that effect on people. :7

Well why not? If people are going to wait to get nose bleed sections tickets for some lame band, why not for the last elected president to actually serve in office?
Love him or hate him, the man is larger than life.
