Who cares what Kerry /Teresa owns?

By Patricia Wilson

NANTUCKET, Mass. (Reuters) - Sometimes a vacation is just a vacation, even if you're Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) and you spend the weekend boating, dining out and searching for just the right wind to kite surf in one of America's most exclusive summer playgrounds
snip
headed on Saturday for Brant Point where his wife Teresa Heinz Kerry -- heiress to the $500 million family ketchup fortune -- owns a three-story, five bedroom waterfront retreat.

Encircled by tall hedges, the $9 million estate was the site of the couple's wedding in May 1995.

On Sunday he took to the water in a 32-foot boat that Starr estimated cost about $150,000.

Ok this is really starting to piss me off.
Why is every report about kerry about the 500 m of Teresas ?
Also everything kerry and his wife owns is alot of articles or references on tv its always pointed out how much it costs.
First off they do not do this to *.They just try to keep
drumming it in that kerrys got money.Paint him the elitist north eastern type money.I would dearly love to see * fell in an accident
from a 600.00 bike .. etc etc.
I was raised where to discuss monitary value on items was tacky and not at all well done.
:grr:

2. news flash: Bush is a multimillionaire from a rich family too
Big difference: Bush never worked for any of his money. Every business he headed lost money. The National Guard paid him for not showing up. His first paying job was governor of Texas.

4. Ramsey and I saw where John Kerry's Beacon Hill Townhouse is
When we went to the Boston gathering back in April, we stayed at a hotel that is about 4 blocks from Kerry's townhome. As the taxi took us from the airport to the hotel, the cab driver knew we were democrats and pointed out the town home to us. It's a very very nice neighborhood!!

I personally don't care if Kerry owns a double wide trailer in the best trailer park in America or if he has the fortunate luck to own the property that he owns. What I care is Kerry is going to spend time at the White House doing the job he will be elected for and NOT vacationing all the time in all those lovely homes he owns.

5. Repukes hate rich liberals. Always have.
Libs just don't know how to spend their money correctly. They think it's hypocritical to be liberal and to spout liberal philosophy and be rich at the same time. Pugs have hated the Kennedys for decades.
Libs are supposed to live in the sewer and serve he Repuke aristocracy.

Oh Tucker...cocktails at the club at five. Now don't be late.

6. I think you nailed it Dees
Repukes just cant understand why a person would vote to raise their OWN taxes just to give to children living in poverty .
Why worry about the poor and middle class healthcare ,they think survival of the fittest.Anyone wealthy who is liberal in their eyes should do everything they can to hold onto every grubby coin they can and screw everyone else.Selfless acts are unheard of in pubbie land.

But then it couldn't be that because the Repubs would never stand for it, what with their priniciples and all.

9. And they never talk about bin-Laden investments in Bush's Oil Companies
why is that. Never any talk in the mass media about how Saudi Banks own half of all the fucking real estate in Dallas and Houston !!
Never any talk about how Osama's brother being an investor in George W. Bush's fucking oil comapanies. Why is that !

Never any talk about those MONEY connections from the mass media in this country. It is amazing today all the whoring about Kerry's money and Michael Moore's money but never any talk about the Bush Family--Neil robbing savings and loans, George screwing over his Saudi and bin Laden investors. Daddy's connections to Carlyle which was fully invested from all kinds of Saudi banks and royal families.

11. I imagine the Bush family is worth twice that.
Edited on Mon Jun-21-04 08:58 AM by terrya
And why don't we ever hear about how much the Bush family is worth, anyway? The American public has a right to know.

12. As for the original question...
"Who cares what Kerry /Teresa owns?"

Personally, I'd give them a pass on most items. But if it turned out they owned a HumVee, then I might re-consider my support. I can't stand those ugly things.

13. I might have to agree with the hummer Weds.
I loathe them.I see them as completely wasteful. Before I get flamed I do drive a truck that I use to haul furniture from auctions.
Living in a rural area in Pa with less then perfect roads I can understand the need at times for suvs.Like most rural persons when I drive into cleveland, pittsburg or nyc I see people driving suvs there it makes me kinda cringe .. like whats the sense.I would hate to have to find a parking spot for a saab let alone a suv in most cities.
