Do you think these comments would lead people to believe a direct connection between 9-11 and Iraq???



The following are just a couple of quotes from Bush on Iraq and 9-11..

The attacks of September the 11th showed our country that vast oceans no longer protect us from danger. Before that tragic date, we had only hints of al Qaeda's plans and designs. Today in Iraq, we see a threat whose outlines are far more clearly defined, and whose consequences could be far more deadly. Saddam Hussein's actions have put us on notice, and there is no refuge from our responsibilities.

declaring necessity of the war.

(2) acting pursuant to the Constitution and Public Law 107-243 is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.



The following quote is from vice president Cheney about the location of the 9-11 terrorist..

In September, Cheney said Iraq had been "the geographic base of the
terrorists who have had us under assault now for many years, but most
especially on 9/11."

1. I have wondered if there are any legal problems for Bush because

(2) states quite clearly, "to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001."

We now know Iraq wasn't guilty of *any of the above* criteria.
