Can we settle on "hungry caterpiller" vs. "goat" story? I dont know
which is the accurate story. We all know Chimpy sat in the Booker school for a very long time after being told of the SECOND plane impact, which merits a whole discussion, but what's the fact about what he was 'reading'?......

Was it 'goats'?...or 'caterpillars'? Does anybody really know?

3. Goats
but the caterpillar story is his favorite book.

No, not just his favorite children's book -- his favorite book. Think of the rich heritage of great literature throughout time and culture and consider that the leader of the free world has said his favorite book is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

(By the way, he also said his favorite food is PB&J.)

4. The hungry caterpillar book...
...was what he once said was his favorite book as a child, though it wasn't published until the early seventies.

7. As I remember it
he was asked by reporters during the 2000 campaign what his favorite childhood book was. He couldn't think of one.

Later on, he (or Karen) came up with one (don't remember which), but there was a problem. It hadn't been written until long after he was a child.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is the one he reads to schoolchildren, if he has a choice. The Pet Goat story was probably chosen by the class.

9. What would be appropriate for Dubya and the entire BushCo....
...administration would be "Drummer Hoff". I used to read that to my kids all the time.

11. I have an autographed copy of "The Very Hungery Caterpillar"
It was written by Eric Carle. When * was asked what his favorite book was, he replied, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

Me? I would've picked "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," or perhaps "Ender's Game."
