1. Having worked in Saudi and
Kuwait for many years i can tell you that most Americans go there and act like Americans. basically no respect for the local customs and disdain for the people... they go there for $$$ i got no sympathy.

3. that doesn't mean he should be killed
by a group of local terrorists. Hell, many Americans act like self important asswipes in every country on Earth, that doesn't mean they should be snared, threatend, and used as as tool.

4. No i dont want him killed
but if you go to a country that is as strict as some of those, just expect to be a target and stop wasting time crying about it..
You wanna dance, sometimes you gotta pay the fiddler.
I feel same way about "our troops" <10 year veteran so i do have the right to say this> I do not support them and could care less of there fate. they chose they lose.

11. I saw a news interview with Saudi's that knew him...
They all respected him and liked him.

This has nothing to do with his life in Saudi Arabia, it has to do with terrorists.

12. Kind of like we are doing to all of Arab nationality right...
 What goes around comes around. These people are striking back for years of abuse and mistreatment by Americans and the american government. You reap what you sow.

13. Abuse and mistreatment?
In what way have Saudis been abused and mistreated by Americans and the American government? Are you suggesting that we abuse them by buying their oil?

14. I said Arabs not Saudis and if you don't think Arabs are being abused
in Amerika today you have had your head in a dark place. Ashcroft has rounded up thousands of Arabs and not allowed them any legal representation or charged them with any crime. Just swept them off the streets and lord knows what atrocities they have endured in there secret locations. Not to even mention the Mosques that have been vandalized and destroyed since 9-11.

5. In the Community of Port St John
where Paul Johnson's son and his family lives, friends and neighbors are with prays and support for the entire family, there's yellow ribbons everywhere...and the waiting for news must be so hard on them all, knowing the track record of these guys releasing anyone, specially American isn't good.
My heart goes out to them and my prays!

10. Without being unduly influenced
by the tube, I feel the same sympathy and sense of "loss" for Paul and his family
as I do for all who have found themselves in similar situations - including the thousands of Iraqi people who were so "unfortunate". I would suppose there have been more innocent than he and others who were more complicit in their own predicaments.
I hope he and so many others return to their families. His family's access to network news has no bearing on my concerns for him.
...O...
