3. Dan Rather has lost his mind years ago...
The guy is a whore of a weathervane.

I used to have respect for him but when he said that crap about falling behind the commander in chief during this illegitimate war, I've almost puked.

5. Did you ever have one?
Yes, Rather got behind the "president" after 9/11. He'd been on the air for hours watching his city reeling from the attacks. Lots of people had that same response--at least for a while.

Do you have a link showing his support for the Iraq invasion?

He's managed to make a career in the corporate media so he's not an innocent virgin. But he's less whorish than most of them.

6. Excuse me?
Sorry mate, but Dan Rather is an old school journalist & Thats why I love CBS. CBS has Mike Wallace(86), Andy Rooney (85), Bob Shieffer(73), & most the other 60 Minutes anchors.John Roberts may be the baby of the bunch but CBS has the old timers who still know what journalism is.ALl the other networks can have their younger fresher looking anchors/newswomen anyday.CBS's journalist are all in their prime & over 80! Sean Hannity,O'Reilly, SHepard Smith, etc.could learn a thing or two from the CBS team!

8. I agree!
And let's not forget CBS is the network that gave us Cronkite!

CBS isn't perfect, but it does far less whoring and caving than the others.

9. I do agree Rather is not as bad but...
I don't think a journalist's job is to tell the audience that he or she supports the president's views or actions. Their job is to simply report "subjectively" as best as they can.

There were plenty of people who knew there were no evidence of Iraq and Al Qaeda prior to going to war. It's should of been their job to point this out. No one in the mass media did this including Rather.

At this point, I don't think supporting a lesser evil of evil journalists is a good thing.

10. Also Rather has been fighting low TV ratings for years...
and I think he's been "rather" desperate about that.

I personally think he has lost all credibility by pandering to the Bush created jingoism.

11. I sense some desperate Clenis obsessing here. What a time to smack
Rather! And how insistent! Buckle up - a lot more "crazies' will praise Clinton's book.
