Is anyone here an Economist?
I wrote an article titled, "Fake Job Numbers from the Bush Administration Paint a Rosy Picture, at:

http://www.moveleft.com/moveleft_essay_2004_06_07_fake_job_numbers_from_the_bush_administration.asp

I conclude by saying that the new element in the Labor Dept. calculation, the "CES Net Birth/Death Model" can't be indepently verified.

I mean that based on the information the Labor Dept. provides on its website, but I'm not sure what would happen if an Economist contacted the Labor Dept. and asked for their raw data and asked exactly how they did the "CES Net Birth/Death Model."
If you're an Economist who might want to try to contact the Labor Dept. and try to run the numbers, please send me a Private Message.
