When did you decide 100% that Geraldo Rivera is a goofball?
For me, it was years ago when he went to a white supremacist rally to interview not only the racists, but the minority groups that were also present to protest the rally.

Geraldo spent 45 minutes breaking up confrontations between the two groups and preaching non-violence to all of them, in addition to doing his interviews.

THEN, some supremacist called Geraldo a "jew-spic." Geraldo immediately threw down his microphone and started trying to punch the guy. I guess he had not been listening to himself for the previous 45 minutes!

To top it off, the cops arrested Geraldo for assault & battery. They were leading him away, handcuffed, and he was saying, "Come on, man, its me, Geraldo Rivera, you can't arrest me!" LMAO!

Did anyone else see that show?

1. When he opened "Al Capone's Vault"
His career should have been 100% over that night.

5. That was it for me.

But it was funny as hell to watch him spitting and stammering at the end of the broadcast.

I emailed Fox after he drew the map in the sand on a broadcast when he was "embedded", effectively giving away his troops' location. I asked if he was stupid enough to work for them--I never got a reply. Btw, I love what TDS did with that.

holding that dusty, empty bottle. Then he tried to make it sound good--A BOTTLE FROM AL CAPONE'S VAULT!!!

Good ol' Horrendo Revolver....

He became a joke that night, but he still hasn't caught on....

But he did (so he claims) get to poink Bette Midler, so he's still got something on me....

19. Yup...
I totally agree.

Just the show itself lowered his stock a great deal, but afterward, everything that came later was not at all surprising.

Yeah, that's when Geraldo was doing the Jerry Springer show even before Jerry did it.

6. Absolutely Capone's vault.
Although Rivera (his real name is the far less exotic Gerald Rivers) has certainly screwed up many times since them. How he stays employed baffles me.

10. Unfortunately, we are distantly related...
Yes, Geraldo and I are 3rd cousins, though I wouldn't dare acknowledge that in I were speaking to people in person.

His name really is Geraldo Rivera. He used Gerry Rivers when he first started out because he knew it would be too hard to break into the business with such an ethnic name. After he got his foot in the door, he went back to his real name.

7. Geraldo throwing punches?
Didn't Frank Stallone teach him a lesson all those years ago???

Are you sure he was actually AT the rally, or was he hundreds of miles away, like the time when he claimed to be in the Tora Bora area a few years ago, packing heat and waiting to take out Osama bin Laden himself.....

It looked like a rhubarb at Wrigley Field. Then, Rivera shows up with this stupid bandage across his nose--I can't remember if it was later in the same show, or the next day. LMAO too.
