Poll question: Will Nancy appear at the Reagan tribute at the Republican convention?

1. She seems pretty private these days

Her husband's health is a very personal subject to her. I can't see her going out and being seen at tributes.

Reagan's old cronies (Baker, North, Bush, et al) will likely be out in full force, though.

2. I don't think she'll be there

I think she'll give some sort of taped message or satellite appearance though. She's mostly a very private sort of person and there would be no reason for her to personally go to the convention.

But I could be wrong.

I think she'll be there in a cameo appearance just to receive/insure Ronnie's props- remember, despite her flaws, she was always all about him. But my guess is that she'll just sitting in the Guest of Honor box, maybe/maybe not next to Pickles... definitely not a speaking role.

unlike the Nixon or Poppy Bush Libraries, Reagans is in the hands of a very small group of close friends who Nancy trusts to bid her business ...

"My Turn" wasn't about reflecting on a First Lady organizing flower arrangements and 'just right' effects for luncheons or coordinating background activities for State visits ... it was about revenge, retribution, and getting the last word in ...

the timing of the GOP convention may be a major consideration which might keep her away; and, of course, the fear mongering of Herr Ashcroft, et al ...

the GOP convention is too close at hand to today's events ...

but, she does have an ego, though
