I hope this will be an educational thread. Objection to a fond passing into that good night should be based on rational grounds.

My main complaint:

Reagan the butcher backed the death squads in El Salvador - many of these groups were simply shooting agrararain reformers, who didn't want transnational corporations coming in and setting up beef ranches or plantations where sustainable local farms had once existed. We flooded the country with weapons and turned it into a killing ground.

Please contribute! People should know what the Reagan administration was really about.
