He was struggling with something. He didn't look well or very much in control. It was like he was barely holding it all together.

9. Either he only has a vocabulary of about 1000 words or he has orders to
only use about 1000 words, and he's struggling to limit himself to them.

He clearly has about 3 emotions and seven or eight ideas into which he fits everything that happens.

Sometimes you come up with a few octagonal pegs and they don't fit into the round, square, triangular or hexogonal holes.

15. My god.
I heard clips of it on AAR yesterday. Watching the whole with video was a real experience though. Really seemed to be having a hard time finding the words he wanted to say. How embarrassing to have that as a President.

4. White House has transcript AND video. Here is transcript.
President Bush Commends Tenet
Remarks by the President on the Resignation of CIA Director George Tenet
The South Lawn
10:26 A.M. EDT

THE PRESIDENT: Today, George Tenet, the director of the CIA, submitted a letter of resignation. I met with George last night in the White House. I had a good visit with him. He told me was resigning for personal reasons. I told him I'm sorry he's leaving. He's done a superb job on behalf of the American people. I accepted his letter. He will serve at the CIA as the director until mid July, at which time the deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency, John McLaughlin, will serve as the acting director.

George Tenet is the -- is the kind of public service you like -- servant you like to work with. He's strong. He's resolute. He served his nation as the director for seven years. He has been a strong and able leader at the agency. He's been a -- he's been a strong leader in the war on terror. And I will miss him. I send my blessings to George and his family. I look forward to working with him until the time he leaves the agency. And I wish him all the very best.
Thank you.

16. Daily Show obliterating the Bushies
brutalized GWB over this, uh, speech? Not sure what it was. He needs to start NOW getting ready for the debates. If he doesn't have hours and hours to practice, he will be just as you saw him on this clip. My fantasy: GWB has to one on one with Clinton. Oh, Baby. Just imagine. The Big Dog would chew him up and spit him out. That macho swagger would be gone forever. And all those wanna be tough guys who think Dubya is the bomb would see their hero as the cowardly dummy he is.
