Bush is Toast...
I know this has been said many times, but this time Bush is toast. The Plame outing is finally going to be what takes him down. If they can prove that he knew that Rove was going to out Plame and he did nothing, then he's gone. This is huge folks. No one should doubt it.

1. Bush can never be considered "toast"
remember - he did not win the LAST election.

4. I understand where you're coming from...
However, no black box will save him from indictments and impeachment. This has to do with national security. Not even the Republicans can turn their backs on this one without losing face.

2. Man...I hope you're right! Got to LOVE it!
Anyone know what the Freepers are saying? I don't want to dirty my beautiful mind by going there. Will someone who is already contaminated please post their comments?

3. As I posted elsewhere, this is a most dangerous time. Bush
knows things are closing around him. The administration has people out there saying that we are going to have more terrorist attacks. Massive attacks across the US, Canada, England and elswhere are the only thing that can save Bush. It is perfectly logical and therefore it is frightening.

5. Too many governmental agencies with hi up officials
are keeping a close eye on them. They've burnt too many bridges. I've got inside knowledge on this one. Bush is toast...

6. Not another one!
I should have known another "bush is toast" thread would pop up. But let me ask you this, you said you know this has been said many times...and it has. But you signed on May 21st. How do you know this? Are you pulling our chains?

10. I've been reading this forum for two years...
I posted under other names; however, the primary season turned me off. Too much infighting.

8. He should have been toast so many times by now...
That I am not going to count my proverbial chickens until after election day.

He lied during his campaign in 2000 about his achievements as governor of Texas and many other things, (Al Franken had him lying in his acceptance speech!)

All the bait & switch on environmental issues

At the best, he was asleep at the switch on 9/11. At worst, he let it happen on purpose, or made it happen.

Valerie Plame, Enron, PNAC, Chalabi, WMD lies, $700 million from Afghanistan for Iraq, not going after Al-Zarqawi because it would hurt his case for war, Banner-gate, Bike-gate, the list goes on forever and he is still over 40% approval.

Expect those approval numbers to shoot up when Rove starts pulling off his August surprise (imagine pulling Osama out of his ass the day of Kerry's acceptance speech?), and a September surprise and an October surprise.

11. Tell me this...
How is Bush going to land on his feet from this one when he will be indicted and he will stand trial. My gut is telling me they have tapes.

15. We'll see if the "Enron tapes" amount to anything . . .
This administration is 10 times more corrupt than Nixon's . . .

18. "Stand trial?" -- have you ever read the Constitution?
He can only stand trial AFTER he is "toast." A sitting president can NOT face criminal indictment.

He must either be impeached and removed from office, or turned out by the electorate (which sure as hell better happen in November), before he can stand trial.

I hope he does.

But again -- those chickens aren't hatched yet.

9. I've said it about SO MANY incidents!!!
This is what will take bush down. The war, the torture, The outing, the deficit, the stupidity, Clarke, Woodward, the press conference, Dean, no exit strategy, no WMDs, no health care, mercury poisoning, the lies, the incompetence, the smirk, his complete and total failure as pResident, his mishandling and bungling of the war on terror, isolating America, having the world turn on us, and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. Each time I say THIS it the thing that will bring him down. But it never does . . . .UGH!!!

12. Yup. "Bush is toast" has become a meaningless jingoism.
I'll say it when it happens, not before.

13. He can survive even this
Look! Laci and Conner! Look! Kobe!

He's in trouble, and these are heady times, but never underestimate the vigor of the monarchists. The worse it gets, the more they need to hold onto power. It's to the point now that they absolutely can't let anyone else take the initiative in November; their crimes are of such a degree that they can't be hidden if they don't hold the House.

14. The Bush cult will never dismember itself. They revere him in
an almost Godlike way, never admitting that he knows anything bad, does anything harmful, etc., etc. Deep down inside they must know this, but like other cultists, for some reason they are drawn to the "divine leader" and obey him w/o question.

It is mind bogling. I hope there are enough of us who are not members of the cult to make the regime change in November. But I have given up expecting any rational admitting of wrongdoing or fault of any kind on the part of the Bush followers.

16. Bush is toast when they decide he is toast
The neocon grasp of the media is such that anything threatening Bush will get minimal play in the media and be throttled to death undetected away from the prying eyes of the public. Without the flow of information telling people what is going on we are deaf, dumb, and blind. They have strangled that flow and now we only get what they approve of.

If they decide that George is too great a risk then he is toast. They will put out speaking points to their sources and you will see it bubble up through the system. When Scaife says George is toast is when he is toast.

19. Until and unless the media completely turns...no repub will
ever be toast. Example: CSPAN this morning - 2 repubs, a presidential appointee on fitness (Lynn Swan who I USED to respect) and then I heard that moveon was on but I had to leave for work. In any case - CSPAN, the best we've got, and it's 3 to 1. From what I've seen, that's how it's been on CSPAN the past year. They must be threating Brian Lambs family, blackmailing him, or threatening to plant drugs on him or something.
