Rumsfeld`s Support of the War Effort: Iraq`s That is, vs Iran and the Kurds
Edited on Fri May-28-04 02:53 PM by DEMVET-USMC
I wish to begin by stating one of the NUREMBERG PRINCIPALS set forth as International Law at the conclusion of the Nuremberg Trials against the Nazis After their defeat in WWII. Nuremberg Principal: " Complicity in the commission of a crime against peace, a war crime, or a crime against humanity, is a crime under International Law. The Reagan-Bush Admin. authorized the sale of poisonous chemicals and deadly biological stocks, including anthrax. IRAQ WAS ALREADY USING CHEMICAL WEAPONS ON AN" ALMOST DAILY BASIS " according to The Washington Post: when envoy Donald Rumsfeld met with Saddam Hussein in 1983,an historic meeting that consolidated an active military partnership. The repression and brutality of Saddam`s Regime was not a secret when U.S. and Iraqi officials coordinated their military efforts. 24 U.S. firms exported all types of arms and war material to Saddam`s Regime. For this story go to: < http://www.commondreams.org/views03/1223.11.htm >I got this story there at Common Dreams. ANOTHER interesting story concerns Mr. Rumsfeld`s involvement with the Company that sold TWO NUCLEAR REACTORS to North Korea. Go to: < http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0509-02.htm > or < http://www.fortune.com/articles/0,15114,447429,00.html >. It seems Mr,Rumsfeld has been a very busy man selling dangerous technologies to enemies or future enemies of These United States. The Bush family has been up to that for a good bit longer. For that story go to: < http://www.tarpley.net/bush2.htm >. Daddy Warbucks < George the first > is making a fortune right now on our current wars with his involvement in the CARLYLE GROUP. There is a common theme here which is that these people make vast fortunes supplying anyone they please with weapons of all sorts and the American People pay dearly for their treachery in Lives lost, people killed and maimed and National Treasury, Our Nation`s Money. Of course the entire World has payed an enormous toll for these scheming Bastard`s treachery against the entire World. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO PUT AN END TO IT ? ...Oscar

2. They escaped prosecution for War Crimes during Desert Storm in 91
Like father, like son, eh? Some say the Poppy Bush war machine killed 100,000 fleeing Iraqis on one day. These men had quit Kuwait and were trying to flee north. Most were conscripts who had surrendereded.

WAR CRIMES

A Report on United States War Crimes Against Iraq to the Commission of Inquiry for the International War Crimes Tribunal

by Ramsey Clark and Others

Incinerated body of an Iraqi soldier on the "Highway of Death," a name the press has given to the road from Mutlaa, Kuwait, to Basra, Iraq. U.S. planes immobilized the convoy by disabling vehicles at its front and rear, then bombing and straffing the resulting traffic jam for hours. More than 2,000 vehicles and tens of thousands of charred and dismembered bodies littered the sixty miles of highway. The clear rapid incineration of the human being suggests the use of napalm, phosphorus, or other incindiary bombs. These are anti-personnel weapons outlawed under the 1977 Geneva Protocols. This massive attack occurred after Saddam Hussein announced a complete troop withdrawl from Kuwait in compliance with UN Resolution 660. Such a massacre of withdrawing Iraqi soldiers violates the Geneva Convention of 1949, common article 3, which outlaws the killing of soldiers who "are out of combat." There are, in addition, strong indications that many of those killed were Palestinian and Kuwaiti civilians trying to escape the impending seige of Kuwait City and the return of Kuwaiti armed forces. No attempt was made by U.S. military command to distinguish between military personnel and civilians on the "highway of death." The whole intent of international law with regard to war is to prevent just this sort of indescriminate and excessive use of force.

"It has never happened in history that a nation that has won a war has been held accountable for atrocities committed in preparing for and waging that war. We intend to make this one different. What took place was the use of technological material to destroy a defenseless country. From 125,000 to 300,000 people were killed... We recognize our role in history is to bring the transgressors to justice." Ramsey Clark

Ramsey Clark served as U.S. Attorney General in the administration of Lyndon Johnson. He is the convener of the Commission of Inquiry and a human rights lawyer of world-wide respect. This report was given in New York, May 11, 1991.
